Ep 82: Living with Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome: How Kratom Changed Everything for Araya Light

Araya Light shares how she overcame chronic pain and Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome through diet changes, natural healing, and Kratom—a plant she says gave her life back and fuels her advocacy.

Araya Light shares her powerful journey from being a vibrant, go-getter bartender to suddenly becoming bedridden with rheumatoid arthritis, only to later discover she also had Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. Frustrated by the failure of conventional medicine, she turned to natural health approaches—changing her diet, eliminating processed foods, and finding relief through herbal remedies. Her persistence and research eventually led to a full turnaround in her bloodwork and a diagnosis that finally explained decades of unexplained pain and fatigue.

In her search for natural relief, Araya discovered Kratom and found it to be life-changing. It eased her chronic pain, helped her sleep, and gave her the energy and focus she needed to care for her family and run her hobby farm. She shares how Kratom also improved her anxiety and overall quality of life. Araya discusses her concerns about 7-hydroxymitragynine (7OH) products flooding smoke shops, warning that these semi-synthetic versions threaten the reputation of natural Kratom. Her story is one of self-advocacy, resilience, and a deep desire to educate others about responsible Kratom use and natural healing.

1
00:00:00,040 --> 00:00:06,080
For the first time, I didn't
hurt and I didn't get high.

2
00:00:07,040 --> 00:00:12,320
I didn't get stoned.
I just felt a little bit of an

3
00:00:12,320 --> 00:00:14,400
awe feeling.
It was a relief.

4
00:00:14,400 --> 00:00:19,040
It was just relief of not
hurting all over for the first

5
00:00:19,040 --> 00:00:24,000
time in like a decade.
So I was like, holy cow.

6
00:00:24,120 --> 00:00:27,960
And we only took like a, an
eighth of a teaspoon because we

7
00:00:27,960 --> 00:00:29,440
were, you know, I had looked it
up.

8
00:00:29,440 --> 00:00:32,240
You start small.
He was a much bigger guy.

9
00:00:32,240 --> 00:00:34,840
Even that worked on him.
And he's like, I kind of dig

10
00:00:34,840 --> 00:00:36,040
this stuff.
It helped.

11
00:00:36,280 --> 00:00:39,400
It helped take the edge off for
him as an alcoholic.

12
00:00:40,040 --> 00:00:41,960
And it just took that pain away
from me.

13
00:00:42,000 --> 00:00:44,440
And so I'm like, I'm going to
need a little bit of this, like,

14
00:00:44,640 --> 00:00:46,920
I'm going to try this out.
And so when he did, he, he

15
00:00:46,920 --> 00:00:49,920
shared it with me.
And and then so then I tried the

16
00:00:49,920 --> 00:00:54,960
red and and I because of the
Ehler Stanlows I'm naturally

17
00:00:54,960 --> 00:00:59,160
hyperactive and it's hard to
sleep and I refuse to take sleep

18
00:00:59,160 --> 00:01:02,320
meds.
But for the first time I slept

19
00:01:02,400 --> 00:01:15,720
like 6-7 hours straight.
I'm here with Area Light, a

20
00:01:15,720 --> 00:01:19,080
fabulous gal I met who has
popped into our kratom gal's

21
00:01:19,080 --> 00:01:21,240
live stream in the comments from
time to time.

22
00:01:21,440 --> 00:01:23,240
Gotten to know her through that
area.

23
00:01:23,240 --> 00:01:26,360
I'm so glad you're on the
podcast with us because it

24
00:01:26,360 --> 00:01:28,240
sounds like you have a really
interesting story.

25
00:01:28,600 --> 00:01:31,280
Yeah, thank you.
I'm so happy to be here.

26
00:01:31,480 --> 00:01:33,480
I'm happy to have found you
guys.

27
00:01:33,480 --> 00:01:36,400
Like I found a little tribe, I
think in a way.

28
00:01:37,560 --> 00:01:41,640
So yeah, like I'm very grateful
to be here and happy that my

29
00:01:41,640 --> 00:01:44,720
little YouTube guy put you guys
in my life so.

30
00:01:45,360 --> 00:01:48,040
I'm so glad too.
We have a lot of fun doing that

31
00:01:48,040 --> 00:01:51,200
live stream and just bringing
our community together.

32
00:01:51,200 --> 00:01:54,120
And through that, I meet so many
amazing people like yourself.

33
00:01:54,120 --> 00:01:58,200
And I love having people come on
the podcast here and share their

34
00:01:58,200 --> 00:02:01,600
story because it can help so
many others.

35
00:02:01,760 --> 00:02:04,160
So we'll kick it off with you
telling us a little bit about

36
00:02:04,160 --> 00:02:06,560
yourself and life before kratom.
Yeah.

37
00:02:06,600 --> 00:02:11,600
OK so I am your typical
Midwestern mom.

38
00:02:12,320 --> 00:02:19,400
I live on a farm out in a rural
area and I do home school and

39
00:02:19,440 --> 00:02:23,520
before kratom I was a total go
getter.

40
00:02:23,520 --> 00:02:27,480
I was the tomboy go go go my
entire life.

41
00:02:27,760 --> 00:02:31,240
I went to school for mental
health and I worked with the

42
00:02:31,600 --> 00:02:33,720
disabled population for quite a
while.

43
00:02:34,040 --> 00:02:39,960
And then I ended up going to
bartending with my best friend.

44
00:02:40,280 --> 00:02:44,400
And I loved it.
I went from doing paperwork and

45
00:02:44,400 --> 00:02:48,400
early mornings to having a blast
with my best friend, but very

46
00:02:48,400 --> 00:02:51,320
physical job.
And I did that for about a

47
00:02:51,320 --> 00:02:55,120
decade.
And you know, my, my job was

48
00:02:55,520 --> 00:02:57,920
opening bottles and making
drinks for people.

49
00:02:58,320 --> 00:03:03,600
And one day in my early 30s, I
started having joint pain

50
00:03:03,600 --> 00:03:06,800
everywhere.
And I, I, my wrist hurt and I

51
00:03:06,800 --> 00:03:08,600
was like, is it just wear and
tear?

52
00:03:08,600 --> 00:03:10,480
You know, I mean, I'm only like
32.

53
00:03:11,440 --> 00:03:14,800
And it just kept getting worse.
And I ended up having to walk

54
00:03:14,800 --> 00:03:18,680
off the job one day because I
was just in so much pain.

55
00:03:19,160 --> 00:03:24,640
And cut to a month later, I'm
pretty much being diagnosed with

56
00:03:24,640 --> 00:03:29,400
rheumatoid arthritis and I went
from, you know, opening 1000

57
00:03:29,400 --> 00:03:32,480
beer bottles a night to not
being able to open a water

58
00:03:32,480 --> 00:03:36,040
bottle on my own.
Just too much pain and I had no

59
00:03:36,040 --> 00:03:38,760
strength.
So I went from bartending to

60
00:03:38,800 --> 00:03:42,840
bedridden matter of months.
And I had always been very

61
00:03:42,840 --> 00:03:45,400
independent, multiple jobs.
I would bartend.

62
00:03:45,400 --> 00:03:49,240
I was also a promo model, a
brand ambassador.

63
00:03:49,480 --> 00:03:54,040
I worked out at like the State
Fair every year and like just

64
00:03:54,040 --> 00:03:57,000
different like big events and
always on my feet.

65
00:03:57,000 --> 00:04:02,120
Just go, go, go and, and to all
of a sudden be veteran it, it

66
00:04:02,120 --> 00:04:05,240
was just like, what is going on?
And so unfortunately, I, you

67
00:04:05,240 --> 00:04:08,440
know, I was going to doctors and
doctors are just spinning the

68
00:04:08,440 --> 00:04:10,560
wheel and they're like, OK,
you're going to take this

69
00:04:10,560 --> 00:04:13,000
pharmaceutical and you're going
to take this pharmaceutical.

70
00:04:14,120 --> 00:04:17,360
And at first, you know, I
listened to them because why

71
00:04:17,360 --> 00:04:20,040
wouldn't I?
But I just was feeling worse.

72
00:04:20,240 --> 00:04:24,520
And I've always been kind of a
natural health girl.

73
00:04:24,520 --> 00:04:27,160
Like I've never been one that
likes to take medicine.

74
00:04:27,400 --> 00:04:30,280
I'd rather just tough it out.
If I have a headache, I'll drink

75
00:04:30,280 --> 00:04:33,280
some water, you know, or if I
have a, a muscle ache, I'll put

76
00:04:33,280 --> 00:04:36,640
some magnesium gel on it, you
know, just not a big farming

77
00:04:36,640 --> 00:04:38,560
gal.
So when all of a sudden I'm

78
00:04:38,800 --> 00:04:43,640
dependent on big pharma and I'm
not getting any better, I'm, I'm

79
00:04:43,640 --> 00:04:46,520
just like, this can't be my way
of life.

80
00:04:46,800 --> 00:04:50,240
And I was on Facebook at the
time and I found a group called

81
00:04:50,240 --> 00:04:54,560
Rheumatoid arthritis managed
Naturally and it was ran by an

82
00:04:54,560 --> 00:04:57,320
RN.
And in this group, they were

83
00:04:57,320 --> 00:05:02,200
saying things like remission
pain free versus the other

84
00:05:02,200 --> 00:05:05,520
groups that I were in that we're
talking about injections and

85
00:05:05,520 --> 00:05:09,880
infusions and you know, you
know, just not being able to get

86
00:05:09,880 --> 00:05:12,720
out of bed every day and in your
10th Med.

87
00:05:12,760 --> 00:05:16,080
And so I was like, wow, there is
a dichotomy here.

88
00:05:16,400 --> 00:05:20,440
And I think I'm going to try to
listen to these people that are

89
00:05:21,240 --> 00:05:24,840
seemingly getting better.
So I kind of leaned into that.

90
00:05:25,240 --> 00:05:28,240
Meanwhile, I'm on the waiting
list to go see a rheumatologist.

91
00:05:29,040 --> 00:05:30,560
Our healthcare system's not that
great.

92
00:05:30,560 --> 00:05:34,200
I think it took about 8 months.
So again, I'm literally

93
00:05:34,200 --> 00:05:37,840
bedridden at this point.
I'm not physically able to

94
00:05:37,840 --> 00:05:39,800
function.
My entire body was just riddled

95
00:05:39,800 --> 00:05:42,640
with inflammation.
I couldn't pull a sheet up in

96
00:05:42,640 --> 00:05:45,840
bed.
Basically, I was having family

97
00:05:45,840 --> 00:05:49,040
have to take care of me and,
and, and my needs At this point,

98
00:05:50,000 --> 00:05:52,600
I finally get to see this
rheumatologist.

99
00:05:52,600 --> 00:05:55,320
And by this point I learned a
little bit about natural health

100
00:05:55,320 --> 00:05:57,680
from this group.
And I had kind of cut back.

101
00:05:57,680 --> 00:05:58,960
I'm like, oh, Mountain Dew is
bad.

102
00:05:58,960 --> 00:06:01,080
OK, I'm going to stop drinking
the Mountain Dew.

103
00:06:01,080 --> 00:06:04,880
And you know, the, the, the
greasy hamburgers and the

104
00:06:04,880 --> 00:06:07,400
chicken sandwiches that I
thought were healthy at Wendy's

105
00:06:07,400 --> 00:06:09,760
but really are not, and eating
at Subway.

106
00:06:09,760 --> 00:06:12,520
And I was just learning that,
you know, what I put in my body

107
00:06:12,520 --> 00:06:16,360
really does matter.
And so when I finally got to see

108
00:06:16,360 --> 00:06:20,840
this rheumatologist, and I was
so excited because I had quit

109
00:06:21,200 --> 00:06:23,400
these things.
I've been drinking Mountain Dew

110
00:06:23,400 --> 00:06:26,120
since I was in high school.
And the fact that I had been

111
00:06:26,120 --> 00:06:28,840
able to stop and, you know, I
switched my diet around and I

112
00:06:28,840 --> 00:06:31,920
was starting to see some mild
improvements.

113
00:06:32,600 --> 00:06:35,400
And as I start to tell this man,
he literally interrupts me and

114
00:06:35,400 --> 00:06:40,720
says, diet doesn't matter.
And I was just like, oh, and he

115
00:06:40,720 --> 00:06:44,880
was like a very older, probably
70s, like a Polish man.

116
00:06:44,880 --> 00:06:46,680
He had, you know, been doing
this his entire life.

117
00:06:46,680 --> 00:06:50,880
And I was just like that.
I hate to think differently

118
00:06:50,880 --> 00:06:53,000
here, but according to
everything I've been reading,

119
00:06:53,000 --> 00:06:56,880
that's not true.
So I went ahead and let him, you

120
00:06:56,880 --> 00:07:00,200
know, write me the scripts and,
and, and want to put me on a

121
00:07:00,200 --> 00:07:03,520
chemotherapy drug.
And just, I hear this nightmare.

122
00:07:03,520 --> 00:07:07,760
And, and a little side note, my
aunt is, was crippled with

123
00:07:07,760 --> 00:07:12,000
rheumatoid arthritis.
I had saw her for 30 years with

124
00:07:12,000 --> 00:07:15,760
the crippled hands being in a
wheelchair and she was on all of

125
00:07:15,760 --> 00:07:18,640
these meds and they had never
made her any better.

126
00:07:19,000 --> 00:07:22,680
So I'm going to, I walked out
and I was like, I don't think

127
00:07:22,680 --> 00:07:24,080
I'm going to go see that doctor
anymore.

128
00:07:24,080 --> 00:07:28,360
I think I need another doctor.
And so I went to my, my primary

129
00:07:28,360 --> 00:07:31,480
care physician who has been my
doctor since I was 8 years old,

130
00:07:31,480 --> 00:07:34,240
which is very weird.
But he was a family friend, so

131
00:07:34,240 --> 00:07:38,120
he knew me.
He knew me and he's like, OK,

132
00:07:38,160 --> 00:07:40,680
we'll, we'll try to find you a
better match.

133
00:07:41,240 --> 00:07:43,960
So again, we're really looking
at like 9 or 10 months of a wait

134
00:07:43,960 --> 00:07:45,600
though.
So again, I'm really leaning

135
00:07:45,600 --> 00:07:48,160
into this Facebook group of
natural health and I'm literally

136
00:07:48,160 --> 00:07:52,280
just my, my dad's helping me.
We have a, a family friend who

137
00:07:52,280 --> 00:07:55,560
was an organic farmer.
She worked with Farm Aid in like

138
00:07:55,560 --> 00:07:58,440
the 80s and 90s.
She knows her stuff about

139
00:07:58,440 --> 00:08:01,040
natural health, so she gets
involved too.

140
00:08:01,520 --> 00:08:05,040
And so we're just basically, I'm
swapping out my meds without my

141
00:08:05,040 --> 00:08:07,520
doctor's permission.
You know, I'm just, I'm like, it

142
00:08:07,520 --> 00:08:10,600
makes me itch.
It makes me like, but I was

143
00:08:10,600 --> 00:08:13,480
seeing the results, taking away
the bad food.

144
00:08:14,480 --> 00:08:16,200
So I do an entire gut health
thing.

145
00:08:16,200 --> 00:08:18,120
You know, I do an entire
elimination diet.

146
00:08:18,400 --> 00:08:27,120
I which an anti-inflammatory,
anti-inflammatory elimination

147
00:08:27,120 --> 00:08:29,160
diet.
And that's what I did.

148
00:08:29,160 --> 00:08:31,880
And it, it took a few weeks and
it was really boring and, and

149
00:08:31,880 --> 00:08:36,840
it, but I saw a huge, huge
reduction in pain and I could

150
00:08:36,840 --> 00:08:38,760
move again and I could get out
of bed.

151
00:08:38,760 --> 00:08:43,480
And so that's what I did.
I literally changed my entire

152
00:08:43,480 --> 00:08:45,920
life.
I, I stopped all the fast food,

153
00:08:45,920 --> 00:08:48,000
all the, the things that I
thought were healthy that we're

154
00:08:48,000 --> 00:08:49,200
not.
Come to find out, you know,

155
00:08:49,200 --> 00:08:52,640
white sugar, white flour and
even white salt are, are pretty

156
00:08:52,640 --> 00:08:55,400
bad for you.
And, and so as I'm going through

157
00:08:55,400 --> 00:08:58,640
the steps and I finally go to
see this other rheumatologist

158
00:08:58,640 --> 00:09:01,960
and at this point in time, I
don't really, I'm a lot better.

159
00:09:02,560 --> 00:09:06,040
And but she feels like I would
really like you to be on a

160
00:09:06,040 --> 00:09:09,360
medication And, and I'm like,
but, but why, you know, I'm

161
00:09:09,680 --> 00:09:14,200
getting better, eliminating
things and reintroducing, you

162
00:09:15,520 --> 00:09:19,040
know, good food to my body that
I've never had before.

163
00:09:19,360 --> 00:09:24,000
So she kind of was like, well,
well, OK, I'll give you a shot.

164
00:09:24,000 --> 00:09:29,280
Let's see what happens.
So I get off all meds and

165
00:09:29,600 --> 00:09:31,680
because my dad's really pushing
me, he's like, well, why are you

166
00:09:31,720 --> 00:09:32,880
on?
And so I'm like, OK, fine.

167
00:09:32,960 --> 00:09:35,760
And I'll and this and again,
I'm, I'm not telling anyone to

168
00:09:35,760 --> 00:09:37,640
do this.
This was my journey.

169
00:09:37,640 --> 00:09:41,080
This was my intuition telling me
that this is not the way.

170
00:09:41,440 --> 00:09:43,240
And I'm a highly sensitive
person.

171
00:09:43,680 --> 00:09:47,840
So all those drugs were just
causing so many side effects.

172
00:09:47,840 --> 00:09:52,200
It just was not worth it to me.
And again, as I'm removing

173
00:09:52,200 --> 00:09:54,120
things and I'm just, I'm feeling
better.

174
00:09:54,360 --> 00:09:58,760
And it was really hard to be in
the mindset of going against

175
00:09:58,760 --> 00:10:01,520
your authority.
You know, I mean, these doctors

176
00:10:01,520 --> 00:10:05,640
or who have I've listened to my
entire life and now I'm going

177
00:10:05,640 --> 00:10:08,240
against them and I'm finding
better results.

178
00:10:08,680 --> 00:10:11,840
So that's what I did and I ended
up getting off all of my

179
00:10:11,840 --> 00:10:14,080
medication.
I ended up turning around all of

180
00:10:14,080 --> 00:10:16,880
my blood work.
I had had seropositive

181
00:10:16,880 --> 00:10:20,120
rheumatoid arthritis.
My numbers were off the charts.

182
00:10:20,440 --> 00:10:25,520
Two years later, face level, the
rheumatologist was shocked, you

183
00:10:25,520 --> 00:10:27,320
know, could not believe that I
had done this.

184
00:10:28,120 --> 00:10:31,520
And so she's, and my doctor too
is like, you know, great, your

185
00:10:31,520 --> 00:10:35,080
blood levels at great, but you
still have rheumatoid arthritis.

186
00:10:35,680 --> 00:10:39,040
I was like, OK, I, I get that.
But I have this new lifestyle.

187
00:10:39,320 --> 00:10:41,600
So I get more into herbalism,
more into plants.

188
00:10:41,600 --> 00:10:43,880
You know, I've always been kind
of a little bit of a hippie.

189
00:10:44,440 --> 00:10:46,800
And so I just kind of lean into
that.

190
00:10:46,800 --> 00:10:52,040
And I started learning about, I
heard about kratom and at the

191
00:10:52,040 --> 00:10:53,840
time I was still having some
pain.

192
00:10:53,880 --> 00:10:56,760
You know, I mean, I wasn't pain
free by any means, but I had

193
00:10:56,760 --> 00:11:00,000
gotten rid of about 80% of the
inflammation in the pain.

194
00:11:01,320 --> 00:11:03,680
One day I was carrying in
groceries.

195
00:11:03,680 --> 00:11:05,920
I was able to function again.
I'd gotten out of bed.

196
00:11:05,920 --> 00:11:07,960
At this point, I'm taking care
of my house.

197
00:11:07,960 --> 00:11:10,880
I go to get groceries, but I had
lost all of my muscle tone.

198
00:11:11,320 --> 00:11:15,520
Could be in bed ridden for
months, bartender to bed ridden.

199
00:11:15,520 --> 00:11:18,560
That's a really weird mindset
because I was like mighty mouth.

200
00:11:19,280 --> 00:11:23,280
So I'm carrying in groceries to
the house and all of a sudden my

201
00:11:23,280 --> 00:11:28,480
shoulder socket rips out of
place and I'm just in an extreme

202
00:11:28,480 --> 00:11:30,640
amount of pain.
And I, I hurry and get in the

203
00:11:30,640 --> 00:11:36,200
house and I can't lift my arm
And I'm like, I, I thought maybe

204
00:11:36,200 --> 00:11:38,680
it just popped out of socket
because that has happened to me.

205
00:11:38,680 --> 00:11:41,480
I've sprained my ankle a lot.
My joints have been kind of

206
00:11:41,480 --> 00:11:43,360
loose.
I used to have to pop my elbows.

207
00:11:43,360 --> 00:11:46,160
I played basketball and I was a
little snappy.

208
00:11:46,480 --> 00:11:51,160
My whole family was.
And Long story short, I end up

209
00:11:51,160 --> 00:11:53,680
going to physical therapy
because my shoulder is just, I

210
00:11:53,680 --> 00:11:57,640
can't lift it.
And they start, they're, they're

211
00:11:57,640 --> 00:12:00,440
met, you know, checking me out,
testing me, doing everything.

212
00:12:00,440 --> 00:12:02,440
And they say you're extremely
hyper mobile.

213
00:12:02,440 --> 00:12:04,640
I was like, what's hyper mobile
mean?

214
00:12:05,200 --> 00:12:07,520
And it means that your joints
move further.

215
00:12:07,560 --> 00:12:10,600
They have a further range of
motion than normal.

216
00:12:10,600 --> 00:12:12,760
You know, most people's joints
should move 8°.

217
00:12:13,080 --> 00:12:18,960
Mine move like 12 as an example.
So, and I am 3435 years old and

218
00:12:18,960 --> 00:12:20,960
this is the first time I've ever
heard this in my life.

219
00:12:20,960 --> 00:12:25,000
And this therapist like 22 years
old, but I'm, I'm a avid

220
00:12:25,000 --> 00:12:26,240
researcher.
I'd love to learn.

221
00:12:26,240 --> 00:12:28,960
I'm a total nerd.
Plus she's telling me about

222
00:12:28,960 --> 00:12:31,240
myself.
So I go home and I'm like

223
00:12:31,240 --> 00:12:35,080
hypermobile.
And I, I start, you know, going

224
00:12:35,080 --> 00:12:37,680
down the rabbit hole and I hear,
I read about Aylor Stanlow

225
00:12:37,680 --> 00:12:41,520
syndrome, which is a genetic
connective tissue disorder,

226
00:12:41,880 --> 00:12:47,360
super rare, supposedly.
And as I read all the things of

227
00:12:48,040 --> 00:12:52,720
we'll shorten it to EDSEDS.
I'm just like, check, check,

228
00:12:53,040 --> 00:12:57,000
check.
I, I'm home, I have all of these

229
00:12:57,000 --> 00:12:58,960
things.
I had sprained my ankle every

230
00:12:58,960 --> 00:13:01,360
year.
I, I, there was things in there,

231
00:13:01,560 --> 00:13:03,560
you know, I had over dental
crowding.

232
00:13:03,560 --> 00:13:05,480
I had sensitivities to
everything.

233
00:13:05,480 --> 00:13:07,360
I was, I was just like, this is
me.

234
00:13:07,440 --> 00:13:10,040
This is my family.
We just thought we were a little

235
00:13:10,040 --> 00:13:12,800
weird.
You know, come to find out, I

236
00:13:12,800 --> 00:13:14,960
have this rare genetic
condition.

237
00:13:15,200 --> 00:13:19,480
So I take this list into my
rheumatologist and I'm like, I

238
00:13:19,480 --> 00:13:23,920
think I have this and, and I, I
took it to my doctor originally

239
00:13:23,920 --> 00:13:26,200
who again, has known me since I
was 8 years old.

240
00:13:26,680 --> 00:13:28,960
And I was like, hey doc, I think
I have this.

241
00:13:29,360 --> 00:13:32,640
And he dismissed me.
He said, Oh no, absolutely not.

242
00:13:32,640 --> 00:13:36,000
He said I've only seen one
person in my entire practice

243
00:13:36,000 --> 00:13:39,760
that has that.
And I was like, oh, but come on.

244
00:13:39,760 --> 00:13:41,600
Like and I was really
disheartened.

245
00:13:41,960 --> 00:13:44,680
So then he's like, take it to
your rheumatologist because she

246
00:13:44,680 --> 00:13:46,920
would be the one anyways to
diagnose this.

247
00:13:46,920 --> 00:13:50,560
I was like, OK, so I ironically
had an appointment with her like

248
00:13:50,560 --> 00:13:54,800
a week later, I think it's her.
I get to #3 and she's like, I

249
00:13:54,800 --> 00:13:55,880
have no doubt.
You have that.

250
00:13:56,520 --> 00:14:00,560
And I was like, what?
Like mind blowing?

251
00:14:00,560 --> 00:14:03,600
Like this changes my entire
life.

252
00:14:03,920 --> 00:14:07,880
Like no wonder that I have had
these struggles and these

253
00:14:07,880 --> 00:14:10,400
problems and sprain on my ankle
every year and these heat

254
00:14:10,400 --> 00:14:12,240
intolerances and just
everything.

255
00:14:12,240 --> 00:14:15,040
It was just like I was validated
for the first time.

256
00:14:15,080 --> 00:14:16,840
She said, I'll send you to a
geneticist.

257
00:14:17,200 --> 00:14:19,080
Well, you know, they're the
final say.

258
00:14:19,840 --> 00:14:27,920
And so that was back in 2015.
So I'd spent my entire life with

259
00:14:27,920 --> 00:14:32,000
this rare genetic condition and
I've just been living with it.

260
00:14:32,000 --> 00:14:34,000
And what it is, is it's a
collagen disorder.

261
00:14:34,520 --> 00:14:38,400
So if you think about the Three
Little Pigs, the house made of

262
00:14:38,400 --> 00:14:40,640
bricks, I'm the house made of
straw.

263
00:14:41,320 --> 00:14:46,560
My collagen is, is is less
dense, so everything in my body

264
00:14:46,560 --> 00:14:50,720
has to work 10 times harder.
So my joints are hypermobile so

265
00:14:50,720 --> 00:14:52,080
they don't want to stay in
place.

266
00:14:52,400 --> 00:14:55,960
And then my muscles have to work
much harder because their tissue

267
00:14:55,960 --> 00:14:59,400
is so much less dense that they
have to struggle.

268
00:14:59,560 --> 00:15:02,240
And that's how my every organ in
my body is like that.

269
00:15:03,160 --> 00:15:07,280
So mind blowing.
Wow, you know, And so now it's

270
00:15:07,280 --> 00:15:09,560
like now we know why my aunt has
her problem.

271
00:15:09,560 --> 00:15:12,920
Now we know why my sister like
it was because it's genetic.

272
00:15:13,480 --> 00:15:19,360
I just happened to have the
worst case and the avid

273
00:15:19,360 --> 00:15:22,160
researcher and me to dive down
and figure out what's going on

274
00:15:22,160 --> 00:15:23,920
because I'm not one to lay in
bed.

275
00:15:23,920 --> 00:15:25,840
You know, I said I was a tomboy.
I'm a go getter.

276
00:15:25,840 --> 00:15:29,120
Let's let's let's.
Solve this problem places be

277
00:15:29,120 --> 00:15:31,680
things to do.
Absolutely, I can relate.

278
00:15:31,800 --> 00:15:34,480
Yes, absolutely.
And it's so hard to be.

279
00:15:34,960 --> 00:15:39,880
And what I had, I made a quote
like, like frustration is a

280
00:15:39,880 --> 00:15:45,600
hustler's mind in a broken body
because your mind is just going

281
00:15:45,600 --> 00:15:48,800
and you can't, you literally
physically can't do anything.

282
00:15:49,160 --> 00:15:53,000
So breakthrough, now I can get
the therapy, now I can get the

283
00:15:53,000 --> 00:15:55,600
doctors.
Now I can get the validation

284
00:15:55,920 --> 00:15:59,520
that yes, you are different.
Yes, you do have a more of a

285
00:15:59,520 --> 00:16:01,480
struggle.
And it comes with heart

286
00:16:01,480 --> 00:16:03,400
problems.
It comes with it's a mitral

287
00:16:03,400 --> 00:16:07,920
valve prolapse, which my aunt
had in her 40s.

288
00:16:07,920 --> 00:16:10,640
And it can cause brain
aneurysms, which my mother

289
00:16:10,960 --> 00:16:16,800
passed away from.
So it's a big, it's a big deal.

290
00:16:16,800 --> 00:16:19,560
And so I would really like to
help spread awareness about

291
00:16:19,560 --> 00:16:22,560
Aylor Stamos syndrome because it
is not nearly as rare as people

292
00:16:22,560 --> 00:16:24,240
think, you know?
It's not.

293
00:16:24,320 --> 00:16:27,160
I hear people talk about it all
the time in our community, in

294
00:16:27,160 --> 00:16:29,480
our Kream community.
It's like I, I never even heard

295
00:16:29,480 --> 00:16:31,960
of it before I became a Kream
consumer.

296
00:16:31,960 --> 00:16:34,520
But people do talk about having
it.

297
00:16:34,520 --> 00:16:37,680
It's it's not rare.
No, and there's 13 different

298
00:16:37,680 --> 00:16:42,120
subtypes and so that alone, if
there's that many types, clearly

299
00:16:42,120 --> 00:16:45,400
there's going to be a, a decent
amount in the population that's

300
00:16:45,400 --> 00:16:48,960
having this.
So I do see a geneticist every

301
00:16:48,960 --> 00:16:51,320
year.
They, they poke and prod me.

302
00:16:51,320 --> 00:16:55,840
I, I do have some mutations.
I'm kind of a big deal up there.

303
00:16:57,120 --> 00:17:00,080
It's it's fun honestly, because
it's kind of cool being

304
00:17:00,080 --> 00:17:02,920
different, you know, it's and,
and they got excited about my

305
00:17:02,920 --> 00:17:07,760
mutations and it's like, so I
really am an alien, you know, so

306
00:17:08,800 --> 00:17:10,839
lot of answers there.
So.

307
00:17:10,839 --> 00:17:12,960
I'm so glad that you got it all
figured out.

308
00:17:12,960 --> 00:17:14,880
Took a while, but you got it
figured out.

309
00:17:15,079 --> 00:17:18,880
But you you kind of briefly
mentioned you found kratom

310
00:17:18,920 --> 00:17:21,079
through in the middle of all of
that.

311
00:17:21,359 --> 00:17:24,720
So let's go back to like, how
did you first hear about Kratom?

312
00:17:24,720 --> 00:17:27,079
Like, how'd you hear about it
and what made you decide to try

313
00:17:27,079 --> 00:17:28,040
it?
Absolutely.

314
00:17:28,040 --> 00:17:34,000
So during that downtime, I came
across a guy named Jordan Staser

315
00:17:34,400 --> 00:17:37,720
who was in the quote truther
community.

316
00:17:38,360 --> 00:17:40,440
I used to be kind of a
political, not political, but

317
00:17:43,480 --> 00:17:45,320
we'll say political activism,
but not really.

318
00:17:45,320 --> 00:17:48,160
But I used to just be into like
what's going on.

319
00:17:48,160 --> 00:17:50,960
And he was an activist and he,
he brought it up one day.

320
00:17:50,960 --> 00:17:53,520
I, I respected him.
He was younger, but he was very,

321
00:17:53,520 --> 00:17:56,720
very intelligent guy.
And he mentioned it one day and

322
00:17:56,720 --> 00:18:00,000
said that he had found it, it's
an herbal supplement and that it

323
00:18:00,000 --> 00:18:06,240
had helped him his focus and it
helped him his, he, he didn't

324
00:18:06,240 --> 00:18:08,120
have to like drink caffeine
anymore.

325
00:18:08,120 --> 00:18:12,080
He, he, it just his neurotropic.
He, he could not take a lot of

326
00:18:12,080 --> 00:18:15,440
things because the kratom just
improved everything for him.

327
00:18:15,680 --> 00:18:17,800
And he just couldn't speak
highly enough about it.

328
00:18:17,800 --> 00:18:20,280
He wasn't trying to sell it.
But I was like, wow, the herbal

329
00:18:20,280 --> 00:18:22,840
supplement, huh?
Which that was all I was taking

330
00:18:22,840 --> 00:18:24,640
at that point in time.
I'd been off of all of big

331
00:18:24,640 --> 00:18:28,000
pharma.
So, but unfortunately I was

332
00:18:28,000 --> 00:18:30,200
living in a state where you you
couldn't access it.

333
00:18:30,200 --> 00:18:36,040
So it was kind of a pipe dream.
And this was about 2016, 2015,

334
00:18:36,040 --> 00:18:41,080
16 About 2018-2019, a friend of
mine who was struggling with

335
00:18:41,080 --> 00:18:50,360
alcoholism went down to a Indian
like a powwow healing center and

336
00:18:50,360 --> 00:18:53,560
they had kratom there.
And since I'm everyone's

337
00:18:53,720 --> 00:18:57,280
herbalist, he was like, well,
I'll just ask Ray about this.

338
00:18:57,280 --> 00:19:00,080
So they had helped him get
sober, and then they sent him

339
00:19:00,080 --> 00:19:01,520
home with some green and some
red.

340
00:19:02,000 --> 00:19:04,280
And he didn't know anything
about it, but he trusted that I

341
00:19:04,280 --> 00:19:06,680
could tell him.
And this was just like the world

342
00:19:07,160 --> 00:19:10,080
coming together for me because
he's like, hey, I got this

343
00:19:10,080 --> 00:19:12,200
stuff.
And I don't know what to do with

344
00:19:12,200 --> 00:19:14,080
it, but I figured you would know
what to do with it.

345
00:19:14,080 --> 00:19:16,760
And I was like, kratom.
And he's like, yeah, it's like,

346
00:19:16,840 --> 00:19:21,400
I'll be right over.
So and 'cause he, I was like,

347
00:19:21,400 --> 00:19:24,000
we'll take it together.
I I've been trying to try this

348
00:19:24,000 --> 00:19:26,680
stuff for years.
And there it was.

349
00:19:26,880 --> 00:19:29,080
And so he's like, OK, so we took
it together.

350
00:19:29,600 --> 00:19:33,440
And again, because of the Ehler
Stanlow syndrome, I do have

351
00:19:33,440 --> 00:19:35,520
pain.
It's chronic pain because my

352
00:19:35,520 --> 00:19:39,320
body is constantly struggling to
just sit upright.

353
00:19:40,600 --> 00:19:43,880
And I can't take medication
because I'm so sensitive to

354
00:19:43,880 --> 00:19:45,800
stuff.
So I just kind of tough it out.

355
00:19:47,360 --> 00:19:50,080
I used topicals, bio freeze,
magnesium, all that good stuff.

356
00:19:50,080 --> 00:19:56,880
But for the first time, I didn't
hurt and I didn't get high.

357
00:19:57,840 --> 00:20:03,120
I didn't get stoned.
I just felt a little bit of an

358
00:20:03,120 --> 00:20:05,160
awe feeling.
It was a relief.

359
00:20:05,200 --> 00:20:09,840
It was just relief of not
hurting all over for the first

360
00:20:09,840 --> 00:20:14,480
time in like a decade.
So I was like, holy cow.

361
00:20:14,480 --> 00:20:18,720
And we only took like a, an
eighth of a teaspoon because we

362
00:20:18,720 --> 00:20:20,200
were, you know, I had looked it
up.

363
00:20:20,200 --> 00:20:23,000
You start small.
He was a much bigger guy.

364
00:20:23,000 --> 00:20:25,600
Even that worked on him.
And he's like, I kind of dig

365
00:20:25,600 --> 00:20:26,800
this stuff.
It helped.

366
00:20:27,040 --> 00:20:31,320
It helped take the edge off for
him as an alcoholic and it just

367
00:20:31,320 --> 00:20:33,720
took that pain away from me.
And so I'm like, I'm going to

368
00:20:33,720 --> 00:20:36,440
need a little bit of this, like
I'm going to try this out.

369
00:20:36,440 --> 00:20:40,000
And so when he did, he, he
shared it with me and, and then,

370
00:20:40,000 --> 00:20:43,360
so then I tried the red and, and
I, because of the Ehlers

371
00:20:43,360 --> 00:20:48,000
Stanlow's, I'm naturally
hyperactive and it's hard to

372
00:20:48,000 --> 00:20:50,440
sleep and I refuse to take sleep
meds.

373
00:20:51,160 --> 00:20:55,640
But for the first time, I slept
like 6-7 hours straight and I

374
00:20:55,640 --> 00:20:57,920
was like, holy cow, it's a
miracle.

375
00:20:58,000 --> 00:20:59,320
It's a miracle.
And again, I didn't wake up

376
00:20:59,320 --> 00:21:02,520
groggy, I didn't woke up, wake
up hungover.

377
00:21:02,520 --> 00:21:05,480
It was just, and I could turn
over in bed.

378
00:21:05,480 --> 00:21:08,960
And that was one of the hardest
things is with with the EDS with

379
00:21:08,960 --> 00:21:13,280
the pain is just laying flat.
It's so hard even just to roll

380
00:21:13,280 --> 00:21:16,120
over in bed it your joint, your
joints get stiff, they get

381
00:21:16,120 --> 00:21:20,040
stuck, they they dislocate while
you're sleeping.

382
00:21:20,040 --> 00:21:23,960
It's you have to like build a
little pillow fortress sometimes

383
00:21:23,960 --> 00:21:28,240
to get comfortable.
And this allowed me to relax and

384
00:21:28,240 --> 00:21:32,240
sleep.
And that was the start of that

385
00:21:32,240 --> 00:21:35,960
was the bottom of the mountain
of maybe progressing out of

386
00:21:35,960 --> 00:21:39,880
chronic pain.
Like literally every step I

387
00:21:39,880 --> 00:21:42,680
took, I hurt.
I just was used to it.

388
00:21:43,080 --> 00:21:47,480
I just literally lived And every
my elbows, my hands, I would get

389
00:21:47,480 --> 00:21:50,280
things called trigger fingers
and my hands or my hands would

390
00:21:50,280 --> 00:21:52,960
just lock up.
Like I could not use my hands.

391
00:21:53,160 --> 00:21:57,720
So I would have to be very
careful and like, you know, it

392
00:21:57,720 --> 00:22:03,160
was a, a balancing act of can I
pick this up without triggering

393
00:22:03,160 --> 00:22:04,880
something?
And then now I can't use my hand

394
00:22:04,880 --> 00:22:07,720
for a few weeks.
So I was constantly in pain and

395
00:22:07,720 --> 00:22:14,160
constantly trying to function.
And Kratom was just enough to

396
00:22:14,160 --> 00:22:19,040
allow me to take that, that one
extra step every day or, or pick

397
00:22:19,040 --> 00:22:24,040
up that one extra thing that
slowly allowed me to get the

398
00:22:24,200 --> 00:22:28,600
cobwebs out of my body.
And and like the, I was like the

399
00:22:28,600 --> 00:22:32,760
tin Man on the Wizard of Oz, you
know, and it's like the, the

400
00:22:32,760 --> 00:22:37,000
Kratom was like my oil can.
And so just literally over, it

401
00:22:37,000 --> 00:22:41,120
took a couple years, you know,
it wasn't quick, but over time I

402
00:22:41,120 --> 00:22:45,120
started being able to function
more and more and more.

403
00:22:45,120 --> 00:22:48,800
And it was thanks to the kratom.
So that's how I got started with

404
00:22:48,800 --> 00:22:51,360
it.
That's amazing Areum.

405
00:22:51,360 --> 00:22:53,920
Wow, I I am so glad you found
it.

406
00:22:53,920 --> 00:22:56,040
It sounds like it's been your
miracle plant.

407
00:22:56,080 --> 00:22:59,360
It absolutely like I'm kind of
into tattoos and I kind of want

408
00:22:59,360 --> 00:23:01,960
a kratom tattoo because it it is
that.

409
00:23:02,080 --> 00:23:04,000
I got a one, I got my little one
that.

410
00:23:04,520 --> 00:23:07,120
Wow, see, that's my.
Arms are covered, but I had room

411
00:23:07,120 --> 00:23:09,360
and it's like I had I had to get
that a few years ago.

412
00:23:09,360 --> 00:23:11,560
Just it's just the logo from
Krame Stories.

413
00:23:11,720 --> 00:23:16,440
Yeah, how important it is to me.
And I mean, it has been life

414
00:23:16,440 --> 00:23:18,680
changing.
And I think we might get into it

415
00:23:18,680 --> 00:23:20,960
in a little bit, like the
propaganda we've talked about on

416
00:23:20,960 --> 00:23:23,960
the show.
And like, I've had to bring this

417
00:23:23,960 --> 00:23:27,560
to my family because they have
heard the negative propaganda.

418
00:23:27,760 --> 00:23:30,800
And once I showed them this is
what I've actually been taking

419
00:23:30,800 --> 00:23:34,960
for the last 5-6 years that has
given me my life back.

420
00:23:35,320 --> 00:23:38,000
And they know I'm not an addict.
And I've never had any type of

421
00:23:38,000 --> 00:23:39,560
addiction.
I've never had any problem like

422
00:23:39,560 --> 00:23:41,600
that.
And they have seen the

423
00:23:41,600 --> 00:23:45,160
improvement.
So they're like, OK, clearly

424
00:23:45,520 --> 00:23:47,440
this is a beneficial plan.
Yeah.

425
00:23:47,880 --> 00:23:50,280
So that's great.
Well, so many times people do

426
00:23:50,280 --> 00:23:53,560
say to me, like, family members
weren't really on board, but

427
00:23:53,560 --> 00:23:56,160
then they see how their loved
ones doing and they're like,

428
00:23:56,160 --> 00:23:58,120
wait a minute, they're doing so
much better now.

429
00:23:58,120 --> 00:24:02,400
There's something to this.
So I think it's great that

430
00:24:02,400 --> 00:24:05,520
you've been able to show them
how well this works for you

431
00:24:05,520 --> 00:24:09,360
because it's so easy to watch
the news and believe what what

432
00:24:09,360 --> 00:24:11,160
we see on TV.
Oh, easy so.

433
00:24:11,320 --> 00:24:13,920
We don't, we don't, we don't
know, right, unless we're shown

434
00:24:13,920 --> 00:24:15,720
otherwise.
And that's one of the reasons

435
00:24:15,720 --> 00:24:18,400
why I do the kratom gals live
stream because I just got so

436
00:24:18,400 --> 00:24:22,040
tired of seeing video after
video after video of all this

437
00:24:22,200 --> 00:24:25,840
propaganda, misinformation,
false information, especially

438
00:24:25,840 --> 00:24:28,920
news media.
It's like, I still can't get

439
00:24:28,920 --> 00:24:32,840
over how many times right now in
2025, there's a news story about

440
00:24:32,840 --> 00:24:34,800
7.
OH, but they're showing whole

441
00:24:34,800 --> 00:24:37,840
leaf kratom powder.
That's as if it solved the name.

442
00:24:37,960 --> 00:24:39,560
That's exactly what was
happening.

443
00:24:39,640 --> 00:24:42,480
I'm not gonna name the family
member, but that's what they

444
00:24:42,480 --> 00:24:45,200
were thinking that I was taking.
And so I broke it all out.

445
00:24:45,200 --> 00:24:48,160
I was like, absolutely not.
And I just take powder.

446
00:24:48,160 --> 00:24:50,760
I just take the powder and I
take this tea.

447
00:24:51,880 --> 00:24:54,520
As a bartender, I was used to
taking shots.

448
00:24:56,000 --> 00:24:59,440
So I just take a little bit, you
know, I, I take about 1/4 of a

449
00:24:59,440 --> 00:25:02,640
teaspoon and I mix it in a
little bit of a water bottle and

450
00:25:02,640 --> 00:25:04,880
shake it up.
And, and I, I don't do it all at

451
00:25:04,880 --> 00:25:07,640
once.
I, I kind of, I take it three

452
00:25:07,640 --> 00:25:12,080
times during the day and then
once at night, But I kind of, I

453
00:25:12,080 --> 00:25:14,440
don't shoot it all at once.
I'll kind of drink half and then

454
00:25:14,560 --> 00:25:16,760
an hour or two later I'll come
back and finish it off.

455
00:25:16,760 --> 00:25:21,200
So, and I have actually lowered
my dose because at the

456
00:25:21,200 --> 00:25:26,920
beginning, you know, I was in so
much pain that I, I needed it

457
00:25:26,920 --> 00:25:29,560
24/7 basically.
And it, but it helped.

458
00:25:29,560 --> 00:25:32,800
But it, I could feel it wear off
and it didn't give me any

459
00:25:32,800 --> 00:25:34,480
withdrawal.
I would just start hurting.

460
00:25:34,480 --> 00:25:36,800
I was like, oh, oh, there it is
again.

461
00:25:36,840 --> 00:25:38,920
Oh, I forgot it.
And it was just like, Oh my

462
00:25:38,920 --> 00:25:41,520
gosh, me too.
That's yeah, that's how my life

463
00:25:41,600 --> 00:25:44,640
has been.
And so I would just, it's like,

464
00:25:44,640 --> 00:25:46,360
OK, I'm going to go ahead and
take my dose.

465
00:25:46,800 --> 00:25:50,520
But now that I've progressed to
the point where I'm at now, I

466
00:25:50,560 --> 00:25:54,560
wake up and I can go an hour or
two and I kind of, I just, and

467
00:25:55,000 --> 00:25:56,720
and then I'll drink my coffee
first.

468
00:25:56,760 --> 00:25:58,920
You know, I'll kind of get up
and it's after I'm up and moving

469
00:25:58,920 --> 00:26:02,040
around, but then I'm starting to
kind of feel and then I'm like,

470
00:26:02,040 --> 00:26:03,920
OK, I'll go ahead and take my
first dose.

471
00:26:03,920 --> 00:26:08,560
So, you know, I've, I've not had
to do any tolerance breaks.

472
00:26:08,560 --> 00:26:10,640
I'm just very regimented about
it.

473
00:26:10,640 --> 00:26:14,240
And I always have been.
I know that other people are

474
00:26:14,240 --> 00:26:16,320
not.
I've actually helped quite a few

475
00:26:16,320 --> 00:26:21,240
friends with the alcohol.
I can't tell you if he's still

476
00:26:21,320 --> 00:26:24,000
sober at this point, but he was
sober for about a year after

477
00:26:24,000 --> 00:26:26,600
that.
So it, it did help with the

478
00:26:26,600 --> 00:26:30,080
sobriety.
And I've had friends who were on

479
00:26:30,080 --> 00:26:35,480
Suboxone who have turned over to
the kratom and, and they could

480
00:26:35,480 --> 00:26:37,200
do this too.
They can tell you how it's

481
00:26:37,200 --> 00:26:39,720
changed their life.
I mean, I, I had a girlfriend

482
00:26:39,720 --> 00:26:43,240
who, I've been friends with her
since we were teenagers and some

483
00:26:43,240 --> 00:26:46,400
drugs are running and ruining
her life.

484
00:26:46,600 --> 00:26:49,360
And, you know, and so then she
was stuck on the Suboxone and

485
00:26:49,360 --> 00:26:51,600
I'm like, let me there's,
there's better.

486
00:26:52,160 --> 00:26:55,320
And so, you know, and now she,
she has a full time job.

487
00:26:55,320 --> 00:26:57,520
Her and her husband actually own
their own business.

488
00:26:57,800 --> 00:27:00,800
They've moved up three times
into a better house.

489
00:27:00,800 --> 00:27:02,240
I mean, I'm just so proud of
them.

490
00:27:02,280 --> 00:27:04,280
And again, it's, it's, she's not
addicted to it.

491
00:27:04,280 --> 00:27:07,520
It's just helping her function
and she's no longer losing her

492
00:27:07,520 --> 00:27:10,680
teeth to the Suboxone and she's
not, you know what I mean?

493
00:27:10,680 --> 00:27:15,160
It's just, and to see another
person benefit in a different

494
00:27:15,160 --> 00:27:18,680
way, but still it's so life
changing.

495
00:27:18,680 --> 00:27:21,320
It's just, it's a miracle plant
for a lot of people.

496
00:27:21,320 --> 00:27:23,800
And I just, I really want to
speak out about that because

497
00:27:24,080 --> 00:27:26,680
there's a huge difference in use
versus abuse.

498
00:27:27,400 --> 00:27:30,680
And you know, us chronic pain
people with Aylor Stanlow

499
00:27:30,680 --> 00:27:35,520
syndrome, if you have EDSI,
highly suggest you try kratom.

500
00:27:35,680 --> 00:27:38,160
Just point blank, like I, that's
one of the things I want to do.

501
00:27:38,160 --> 00:27:41,800
I want to do a little show about
the benefits of kratom and how

502
00:27:41,800 --> 00:27:44,480
it does help the Ehler Stanley
syndrome because it helps me on

503
00:27:44,480 --> 00:27:48,280
multiple ways.
And anyone with EDS would agree

504
00:27:48,280 --> 00:27:49,400
they'll be like, Oh my gosh,
you're right.

505
00:27:49,400 --> 00:27:52,160
It does help with the anxiety.
It does help with, you know, the

506
00:27:52,400 --> 00:27:54,960
lack of sleep at night.
It just it helps on so many

507
00:27:54,960 --> 00:27:56,800
different levels and it's all
natural.

508
00:27:57,560 --> 00:28:00,680
So I just really would like to
help advocate and get it out

509
00:28:00,680 --> 00:28:05,360
there and squash all that big
pharma propaganda that ruin.

510
00:28:05,400 --> 00:28:07,720
It oh, I'm excited that you want
to do that.

511
00:28:07,720 --> 00:28:09,040
I think that's such a great
idea.

512
00:28:09,040 --> 00:28:12,040
We need more people advocating
and helping people and just

513
00:28:12,040 --> 00:28:15,400
sharing information through
their own personal experience.

514
00:28:15,560 --> 00:28:17,040
You can't get much better than
that.

515
00:28:17,080 --> 00:28:20,400
You know, it's just here's how
here's how this works for me and

516
00:28:20,400 --> 00:28:24,040
others can relate to that and
you were just touching on about

517
00:28:24,040 --> 00:28:26,320
how this is just helping you in
your everyday life.

518
00:28:26,320 --> 00:28:27,720
Let's talk a little bit more
about that.

519
00:28:27,960 --> 00:28:30,600
You know, so many times people
discover kratom and they just

520
00:28:31,640 --> 00:28:35,960
find other things that it helps
with like just just their

521
00:28:35,960 --> 00:28:39,480
well-being.
Or sometimes people say I also

522
00:28:39,480 --> 00:28:42,320
take medication for anxiety and
I don't even take it anymore

523
00:28:42,320 --> 00:28:45,040
because I didn't realize kratom
would help me with that.

524
00:28:45,040 --> 00:28:48,160
So just what are you noticing?
Like, you know since you've been

525
00:28:48,160 --> 00:28:51,800
a kratom consumers consumer how
it just helps you with your

526
00:28:51,800 --> 00:28:53,720
day-to-day life.
Absolutely.

527
00:28:53,720 --> 00:29:01,280
So I was one of the first people
diagnosed with ADD back in the

528
00:29:01,280 --> 00:29:04,680
90s.
I kind of they, I got the

529
00:29:04,680 --> 00:29:07,680
medication.
I'd say that I'm clinically

530
00:29:07,680 --> 00:29:11,400
diagnosed, you know, and I
didn't like the way it made me

531
00:29:11,400 --> 00:29:14,680
feel and I got rid of it.
And I've just been going through

532
00:29:14,680 --> 00:29:17,200
life without that until I was a
mother.

533
00:29:18,360 --> 00:29:22,560
Then once when I was a mom, I,
I, I couldn't do it anymore when

534
00:29:22,560 --> 00:29:25,480
I was a bartender.
Having ADHD is actually a skill.

535
00:29:25,560 --> 00:29:27,520
It, it helps you, it helps you
multitask.

536
00:29:27,520 --> 00:29:30,520
I mean, it is beneficial.
But then when you're trying to

537
00:29:30,520 --> 00:29:34,240
like run a business and a home
and your mom, all of a sudden

538
00:29:34,240 --> 00:29:39,080
you need five more hands.
And when you're ADHD is not, is

539
00:29:39,080 --> 00:29:41,960
overwhelmed, you can't.
So I did end up getting on some

540
00:29:41,960 --> 00:29:47,720
ADHD medication and it, it was a
miracle it, I was labeling my

541
00:29:47,720 --> 00:29:51,080
son's toy boxes.
I mean, I everything was great,

542
00:29:51,680 --> 00:29:54,400
but I didn't like it.
I again, it's pharmaceutical,

543
00:29:54,760 --> 00:30:00,240
but I couldn't, it did help me
it the way that I describe the

544
00:30:00,240 --> 00:30:04,800
medication is my unlike a car
and that medication puts the

545
00:30:04,800 --> 00:30:08,120
driver in the car.
It gets go, go do this.

546
00:30:08,120 --> 00:30:10,760
Put this here, put that there.
This needs to be done.

547
00:30:11,440 --> 00:30:14,360
So it does help me.
But again, once I start taking

548
00:30:14,360 --> 00:30:19,600
the kratom, that helped me, it
gave me that focus that I was

549
00:30:19,600 --> 00:30:21,600
missing.
And it kind of gave me the

550
00:30:21,600 --> 00:30:24,320
little bit of an energy of like,
OK, I need to get up and do

551
00:30:24,320 --> 00:30:26,760
something and I want to get up
and do something.

552
00:30:27,040 --> 00:30:28,840
I want to go clean out that
drawer.

553
00:30:29,000 --> 00:30:30,920
I want to go.
I've been wanting to do this for

554
00:30:30,920 --> 00:30:34,040
weeks, you know, And so it just
gave me that the motivation.

555
00:30:34,280 --> 00:30:40,000
It took the pain away, gave me
the motivation, the focus energy

556
00:30:40,000 --> 00:30:43,000
to then go start doing things
that I hadn't been able to do

557
00:30:43,000 --> 00:30:47,040
literally in like a decade.
So that again was just huge that

558
00:30:47,040 --> 00:30:50,040
I can start taking care of
little things and I'm not going

559
00:30:50,040 --> 00:30:52,920
to be back.
When I was on that medication, I

560
00:30:52,920 --> 00:30:55,640
was highly sensitive and all
they would have to do is change

561
00:30:55,640 --> 00:30:59,200
the brand or the manufacturer
and I'd start having crazy side

562
00:30:59,200 --> 00:31:01,480
effects.
So I would have to be very

563
00:31:01,480 --> 00:31:05,360
careful even on that and, and
insurance, it was just a hassle

564
00:31:05,360 --> 00:31:06,640
and I was like, I'm just going
to stop.

565
00:31:06,640 --> 00:31:08,400
I just don't want to be on it
anyways.

566
00:31:09,120 --> 00:31:13,240
And Kratom does enough for me
there that it puts the driver in

567
00:31:13,240 --> 00:31:16,920
the car for the most part.
And so again, you know, we have

568
00:31:16,920 --> 00:31:21,560
a little hobby farm here.
We've got donkeys and rabbits

569
00:31:21,560 --> 00:31:26,320
and, and you know, we've got
acreage and I can go out to the

570
00:31:26,320 --> 00:31:29,360
barn like I could, I can walk
back and forth, you know, I can

571
00:31:29,360 --> 00:31:32,920
help with things and I can never
have done that before.

572
00:31:33,360 --> 00:31:40,000
So the anxiety as well with the
Ehler Stanlow syndrome, if

573
00:31:40,000 --> 00:31:42,800
anyone has it, anxiety is a huge
part.

574
00:31:43,040 --> 00:31:47,200
We have like a internal hyper
vigilance because since our body

575
00:31:47,200 --> 00:31:50,640
is always working so hard, we're
kind of like in fight or flight

576
00:31:50,640 --> 00:31:55,240
all the time.
And so everyone's on like

577
00:31:55,240 --> 00:31:58,080
antidepressants and, and that's
something I want nothing to do

578
00:31:58,080 --> 00:32:00,400
with.
So again, I'm just live life

579
00:32:00,400 --> 00:32:02,720
with that.
But again, I would have anxiety

580
00:32:02,720 --> 00:32:07,240
and I would feel it so I would I
tried some yellow kratom, which

581
00:32:07,400 --> 00:32:11,760
people don't really talk about
yellow that often, but yellow is

582
00:32:11,840 --> 00:32:16,240
they call it mellow yellow and
it literally was like taking

583
00:32:16,800 --> 00:32:19,240
Medicaid.
It just it took the edge off

584
00:32:19,240 --> 00:32:22,520
calm my nerves.
So when my mother passed away,

585
00:32:24,160 --> 00:32:28,680
that stuff ramped up pretty bad,
the anxiety, and I got through

586
00:32:28,680 --> 00:32:32,120
it with the yellow kratom and I
don't have to take the yellow

587
00:32:32,120 --> 00:32:34,120
kratom anymore, but I do still
have some.

588
00:32:35,080 --> 00:32:37,960
So, yeah, I mean, it is
literally filled in those gaps

589
00:32:38,120 --> 00:32:42,240
that big pharma had tried to
fill, but really wasn't doing a

590
00:32:42,240 --> 00:32:44,240
good job because of the side
effects.

591
00:32:44,560 --> 00:32:46,200
The kratom, I have no side
effects.

592
00:32:46,440 --> 00:32:49,240
It it does make me drink more
water, which is great.

593
00:32:49,280 --> 00:32:50,840
You know, I mean, that's the
only that's a good thing.

594
00:32:50,840 --> 00:32:53,400
You have to drink more water,
which that I needed to do that

595
00:32:53,400 --> 00:32:55,520
anyways.
So you know, that's.

596
00:32:56,160 --> 00:32:59,520
That's the downside thing.
I've had no negative side

597
00:32:59,520 --> 00:33:01,880
effects either.
I mean, yes, drink more water,

598
00:33:01,880 --> 00:33:05,160
which is a good thing for some
of us, a little bit of a

599
00:33:05,160 --> 00:33:07,480
Constipation issue, but you
know, there's over the counter

600
00:33:07,480 --> 00:33:10,840
medications or, or just
magnesium, you know, supplements

601
00:33:10,840 --> 00:33:14,200
will help with that.
Now I I had more side effects

602
00:33:14,360 --> 00:33:16,800
when I was taking the opiates
for like chronic pain.

603
00:33:16,960 --> 00:33:20,240
I was allergic, I was allergic
to the opiates.

604
00:33:20,280 --> 00:33:23,440
So they I itch yes, I could not
take.

605
00:33:23,720 --> 00:33:26,800
So that's the other thing too,
is like this works on the opioid

606
00:33:26,800 --> 00:33:30,080
receptors, right?
But it's all natural.

607
00:33:30,080 --> 00:33:32,080
So that was, I was a little bit
of fear.

608
00:33:32,080 --> 00:33:34,640
They're trying it.
But again, none of none of that.

609
00:33:34,640 --> 00:33:38,760
I didn't when I was taking, you
know, the, the, the opioids from

610
00:33:38,760 --> 00:33:41,240
the doctor.
I mean, I literally, there was

611
00:33:41,240 --> 00:33:45,920
one time when I, I was going to
scratch my skin off because the

612
00:33:45,920 --> 00:33:49,880
internal itch was so bad.
And it's like, I can't just, if

613
00:33:49,880 --> 00:33:51,400
there's a side effect, I'm going
to have it.

614
00:33:52,160 --> 00:33:55,560
So, you know, and, and to go
from all of that to just a

615
00:33:55,560 --> 00:34:00,000
complete safe, a leaf, a leaf
that we just grind up, it's what

616
00:34:00,040 --> 00:34:01,920
do you yeah, let's let's do
that.

617
00:34:02,040 --> 00:34:04,480
It's hard to believe.
Like I just remember the first

618
00:34:04,480 --> 00:34:07,000
time I heard about kratom, it
was from the documentary A Leaf

619
00:34:07,000 --> 00:34:10,600
of Faith and they're talking
about this plant and how well it

620
00:34:10,600 --> 00:34:12,520
works for pain relief.
And I just remember thinking

621
00:34:12,600 --> 00:34:16,280
that there's no way a plant is
going to is going to help my

622
00:34:16,280 --> 00:34:21,080
pain instead of the opiates and
the opiates, while they work for

623
00:34:21,080 --> 00:34:23,239
me, they didn't make all my pain
go away.

624
00:34:23,239 --> 00:34:25,960
I mean, you know, and all the
the many years I was in pain

625
00:34:25,960 --> 00:34:28,719
management, pain was always top
of mind.

626
00:34:28,719 --> 00:34:32,400
I mean, I was always hurting.
The meds would just take the

627
00:34:32,400 --> 00:34:35,800
edge off of the pain so at least
it was tolerable so I could

628
00:34:35,840 --> 00:34:39,560
still do things but I was
hurting all the time all the

629
00:34:39,560 --> 00:34:43,880
time and was so wild with me.
For me with kratom 6 1/2 years

630
00:34:43,880 --> 00:34:46,000
I've been taking it every day.
Never had tolerance break

631
00:34:46,000 --> 00:34:47,199
either.
I've never needed one.

632
00:34:48,080 --> 00:34:51,520
Yes dependent but never had any
addiction issues with kratom.

633
00:34:52,719 --> 00:34:58,640
But it I, I'm just, I forget
that I'm a chronic pain patient.

634
00:34:58,640 --> 00:35:01,960
I'm, I forget that I'm somebody
that suffers with debilitating

635
00:35:01,960 --> 00:35:04,440
degenerative disk disease.
That's something that doesn't

636
00:35:04,440 --> 00:35:05,960
get better.
It only gets worse.

637
00:35:06,480 --> 00:35:09,000
And I am a little nervous
because I haven't been to a

638
00:35:09,000 --> 00:35:12,880
doctor for it in these 6 1/2
years because I got dropped from

639
00:35:12,880 --> 00:35:14,680
pain management through no fault
of my own.

640
00:35:14,680 --> 00:35:17,400
Doctors are still doing this war
on drugs that never worked.

641
00:35:17,400 --> 00:35:19,480
But you know, that's that's the
way.

642
00:35:19,640 --> 00:35:24,840
It is right now.
Yeah, I mean it it, it is what

643
00:35:24,840 --> 00:35:31,000
it is.
But this plant is just like the

644
00:35:31,000 --> 00:35:34,280
thing with me is why do people
not talk about this here?

645
00:35:34,280 --> 00:35:37,520
This has been life changing for
me and it and what turned me

646
00:35:37,520 --> 00:35:40,760
into this big advocate very
quickly when I became a kratom

647
00:35:40,760 --> 00:35:45,200
consumer was I looked back at my
nine years in pain management,

648
00:35:46,240 --> 00:35:48,680
never heard kratom, never heard
about I never heard anybody

649
00:35:48,680 --> 00:35:51,320
talking about it.
And I'm an Internet person.

650
00:35:51,320 --> 00:35:53,760
I, you know, that's, that was
the work I've always done.

651
00:35:53,760 --> 00:35:56,360
I've been in digital marketing
for like 29 years.

652
00:35:56,360 --> 00:35:59,600
I've been teaching social media
the last 20, very immersed in

653
00:35:59,600 --> 00:36:01,520
all that.
I've never heard of Kratom.

654
00:36:02,320 --> 00:36:04,120
I'm like, something's wrong
here.

655
00:36:04,920 --> 00:36:09,600
How could this plant change my
life, Get Me Out of debilitating

656
00:36:09,600 --> 00:36:11,160
pain?
Yes, it wears off and then I

657
00:36:11,160 --> 00:36:14,000
need more because I need to take
it again because like, just like

658
00:36:14,000 --> 00:36:17,000
you, you were saying, like it
wears off now I'm in pain again.

659
00:36:17,000 --> 00:36:20,760
I'm not feeling like I have to
have it, like there's no

660
00:36:20,760 --> 00:36:24,680
psychological addiction thing
going on is I don't want to be

661
00:36:24,680 --> 00:36:30,000
in pain and I would much rather
consume a plant than an opiate.

662
00:36:30,080 --> 00:36:31,720
I mean, if I have a choice,
sure.

663
00:36:32,080 --> 00:36:35,320
I just couldn't believe nobody
talks about this in the pain

664
00:36:35,320 --> 00:36:39,320
community or very little.
But I'm like, OK, I got to start

665
00:36:39,320 --> 00:36:42,000
a podcast.
I need to use my skills to get

666
00:36:42,000 --> 00:36:46,160
the word out and help people
because people need to be aware

667
00:36:46,160 --> 00:36:47,560
of this.
And, and you know, what's

668
00:36:47,560 --> 00:36:50,400
interesting is since I've been
doing the podcast, the live

669
00:36:50,400 --> 00:36:54,920
stream, all this stuff being
active on TikTok, people have

670
00:36:54,920 --> 00:36:57,320
heard about kratom from seeing
my videos.

671
00:36:57,400 --> 00:37:01,320
I've had multiple people say to
me, I learned about kratom.

672
00:37:01,320 --> 00:37:03,080
I stumbled upon you on social
media.

673
00:37:03,080 --> 00:37:06,920
I learned about kratom from you.
I, I relate to your story.

674
00:37:06,920 --> 00:37:09,640
I have chronic pain too.
I was, this is what some of them

675
00:37:09,640 --> 00:37:11,440
have said.
I was able to fire my pain

676
00:37:11,440 --> 00:37:13,240
management doctor.
I want that.

677
00:37:13,240 --> 00:37:15,280
I want that too.
Powerful.

678
00:37:15,880 --> 00:37:18,440
That's amazing.
Mind blown, Mind blown and, and

679
00:37:18,440 --> 00:37:20,960
that's not why I went into
advocacy.

680
00:37:20,960 --> 00:37:23,240
I, I just want to help spread
awareness.

681
00:37:23,640 --> 00:37:26,200
I want people to know there's an
alternative whether you suffer

682
00:37:26,200 --> 00:37:30,320
from pain, anxiety, depression,
or just want a, a cleaner energy

683
00:37:30,320 --> 00:37:33,600
boost instead of caffeine, you
know, you'd rather just consume

684
00:37:33,600 --> 00:37:37,080
kratom.
And I, I just, I love doing

685
00:37:37,160 --> 00:37:39,000
this.
It's just definitely my passion.

686
00:37:39,000 --> 00:37:42,560
I love that you're also
passionate about advocacy.

687
00:37:42,560 --> 00:37:47,040
And I love how you've been
helping people, you know, around

688
00:37:47,040 --> 00:37:49,080
you with it.
Is this just something you do

689
00:37:49,080 --> 00:37:52,480
very regularly, just kind of
talking it up about kratom and

690
00:37:52,480 --> 00:37:55,320
helping others?
I've always been This is going

691
00:37:55,320 --> 00:37:57,560
to sound funny, but I've always
been like the village witch

692
00:37:57,560 --> 00:37:59,720
doctor in a way.
Growing up.

693
00:37:59,720 --> 00:38:02,840
If you if the somebody got stung
by a bee or they needed a

694
00:38:02,840 --> 00:38:05,480
Band-Aid.
I've just always been the

695
00:38:05,480 --> 00:38:11,560
motherly nursing, caring energy.
So yeah, I mean, animals find

696
00:38:11,560 --> 00:38:17,400
me, people find me.
And I really that means the most

697
00:38:17,400 --> 00:38:21,040
to me to, to for a short time I
worked at like a spinal care

698
00:38:21,040 --> 00:38:22,520
center.
So I actually know a lot about

699
00:38:22,560 --> 00:38:25,760
what you're what you have.
And I was in the marketing

700
00:38:25,760 --> 00:38:28,920
program and I was bringing
people in to do our non invasive

701
00:38:30,040 --> 00:38:34,080
spinal decompression stuff.
And I would have our clients

702
00:38:34,080 --> 00:38:37,520
then seek me out, come find me
in my office to thank me and say

703
00:38:37,520 --> 00:38:39,880
that, you know, this is the
first time that I don't hurt and

704
00:38:39,880 --> 00:38:43,400
it's thanks to you.
And that was like 15 years ago.

705
00:38:43,680 --> 00:38:46,600
So I've experienced that.
And like, that's the best thing

706
00:38:46,600 --> 00:38:48,600
on earth, you know, to have
somebody just thank you that I

707
00:38:48,600 --> 00:38:52,800
don't hurt and in your part of
that journey.

708
00:38:52,800 --> 00:38:54,560
So, yeah, I totally wanna do
that.

709
00:38:54,560 --> 00:38:58,640
And so people around me that
they just come to me, they'll

710
00:38:59,000 --> 00:39:01,680
should I take this?
I trust you more than my doctor.

711
00:39:01,680 --> 00:39:03,880
People that I went to high
school with, they'll message me

712
00:39:03,880 --> 00:39:05,760
on Facebook.
Hey, my doctor wants me to take

713
00:39:05,760 --> 00:39:06,920
this.
What do you think?

714
00:39:07,320 --> 00:39:10,760
Constantly people are running
things by me like that.

715
00:39:12,040 --> 00:39:16,480
I have found out that there is
just a whole community of kratom

716
00:39:16,480 --> 00:39:20,240
users in like illegal states,
for instance, that you know that

717
00:39:20,280 --> 00:39:23,760
they but they're pain, pain
people, you know, they're not

718
00:39:23,760 --> 00:39:26,440
addicts, they're not druggies.
They're people who have been

719
00:39:26,800 --> 00:39:30,040
kicked out of pain management.
You know, they're people that

720
00:39:30,040 --> 00:39:33,360
have had five failed back
surgeries and they're doctors

721
00:39:33,360 --> 00:39:36,320
like good luck.
They're people like me who every

722
00:39:36,320 --> 00:39:40,480
step I took, I was in pain and
there was not really an

723
00:39:40,480 --> 00:39:42,840
alternative.
Everything I took made me sick.

724
00:39:43,160 --> 00:39:46,240
So yes, shout it from the
rooftops.

725
00:39:46,240 --> 00:39:47,840
You know that there is an
alternative.

726
00:39:47,840 --> 00:39:51,640
You can get better and trust
your intuition.

727
00:39:51,640 --> 00:39:54,800
Like I think that's a big part
of it is if, if you want to get

728
00:39:54,800 --> 00:39:58,000
better and you know that you
can't like your body wants to

729
00:39:58,000 --> 00:40:00,720
heal itself.
Your body wants to get better.

730
00:40:00,720 --> 00:40:04,960
And that's step one mindset that
you can get better.

731
00:40:05,400 --> 00:40:07,720
And then once you kind of bring
that into your your energy

732
00:40:07,720 --> 00:40:10,640
field.
People will start coming and

733
00:40:10,640 --> 00:40:13,280
then things like kratom, you
know, just it, it gets brought

734
00:40:13,280 --> 00:40:16,080
into your universe and then you
experience it.

735
00:40:16,080 --> 00:40:20,640
And then you can be that the
person that goes 1st and say

736
00:40:20,640 --> 00:40:22,280
like, Hey, look what I did and
you can do it too.

737
00:40:22,280 --> 00:40:25,200
Follow me.
I know the way you know, and

738
00:40:25,560 --> 00:40:28,480
that's, that's kind of like my,
my screen name of Ray light.

739
00:40:29,080 --> 00:40:31,480
I want to be that Ray light for
people, you know, follow me.

740
00:40:31,600 --> 00:40:34,560
I, I figured it out.
I went from bedridden to, you

741
00:40:34,560 --> 00:40:38,040
know, helping out in the barn.
You know, it's, it's I've lived

742
00:40:38,040 --> 00:40:41,680
multiple lives.
You can get better.

743
00:40:41,680 --> 00:40:46,400
And kratom has been a pivotal,
pivotal aspect of that.

744
00:40:46,400 --> 00:40:48,840
And it's, it's pretty much the
only thing that I take.

745
00:40:48,840 --> 00:40:53,800
I mean, I'm not on any big
pharma and it we'll give it

746
00:40:53,800 --> 00:40:57,480
this.
My family member had a toothache

747
00:40:57,480 --> 00:41:02,720
and was going to and I they
because of kidney issues, can't

748
00:41:02,720 --> 00:41:05,720
take certain medications.
And I was like, I got you and I

749
00:41:05,720 --> 00:41:08,240
and I gave them some kratom
pills and was able to fall

750
00:41:08,240 --> 00:41:10,720
asleep and make it through until
they could get the tooth

751
00:41:10,720 --> 00:41:12,920
removed.
So you just little things like

752
00:41:12,920 --> 00:41:15,520
that.
It's it's so beneficial and I

753
00:41:15,520 --> 00:41:19,160
love having the little pharmacy
in my pocket, you know, or just,

754
00:41:19,400 --> 00:41:24,120
you know, like the knowledge and
the know how and the experience

755
00:41:24,120 --> 00:41:27,320
and the story to show people,
hey, this works and this is how

756
00:41:27,320 --> 00:41:28,720
it works and it can work for you
too.

757
00:41:29,760 --> 00:41:33,280
It can help so many people.
I I love that I love, I love

758
00:41:33,280 --> 00:41:34,400
just.
This is such a great

759
00:41:34,400 --> 00:41:35,880
conversation.
I'm so excited for you.

760
00:41:36,160 --> 00:41:40,360
My mom's an energy drink person
and she was, she had a brain

761
00:41:40,360 --> 00:41:45,920
aneurysm and and died.
And I with the Atler stainless

762
00:41:45,920 --> 00:41:47,480
syndrome, that could happen to
me.

763
00:41:47,520 --> 00:41:50,040
I mean an aneurysm that's part
of the connective tissue

764
00:41:50,040 --> 00:41:52,240
disorder.
But I, the one thing that I do

765
00:41:52,240 --> 00:41:54,280
regret is not getting her on
kratom.

766
00:41:54,560 --> 00:41:56,360
I wish that there had not been
the stigma.

767
00:41:56,360 --> 00:41:58,760
I wish that it had been more
known about that I could say,

768
00:41:58,760 --> 00:42:00,560
hey, mom, let's get out those
energy drinks.

769
00:42:00,800 --> 00:42:03,320
Let's try this natural thing
that you gave me.

770
00:42:03,320 --> 00:42:06,840
No, And I, and I think that it
could have possibly helped her.

771
00:42:06,840 --> 00:42:09,800
So that's another reason why
advocating is so important

772
00:42:10,080 --> 00:42:13,200
because it's like, if you feel
the need to speak up, go ahead

773
00:42:13,200 --> 00:42:15,080
and speak up because you don't
know if you're going to have the

774
00:42:15,080 --> 00:42:19,040
chance again.
Right wow, I'm so sorry about

775
00:42:19,040 --> 00:42:22,360
your mom that but that that's
powerful and I love that that's

776
00:42:22,360 --> 00:42:25,680
part of your motivation to to
doing this and helping others.

777
00:42:26,080 --> 00:42:28,880
I want to talk about like a hot
topic subject that that's you

778
00:42:28,880 --> 00:42:31,880
know that's always in front of
her face all the time right now

779
00:42:31,880 --> 00:42:36,960
708 and I remember a while back
on our kratom gals live stream

780
00:42:36,960 --> 00:42:39,840
when you were live in the chat,
you had talked about how you did

781
00:42:39,840 --> 00:42:42,120
a little Recon.
You went to one of the local

782
00:42:42,120 --> 00:42:45,600
smoke shops in your area because
you know, since more and more

783
00:42:45,600 --> 00:42:48,560
people are learning about what 7
dot OH is, which is semi

784
00:42:48,560 --> 00:42:50,600
synthetic.
It's not holy crate, unlike what

785
00:42:50,600 --> 00:42:57,840
we consume, but it's it's super
popular these days and you know

786
00:42:57,840 --> 00:43:00,120
a lot of people are like, OK,
I'm going to go see what this is

787
00:43:00,120 --> 00:43:01,960
all about.
Let me go to my smoke shop and

788
00:43:01,960 --> 00:43:05,720
see do are they selling this?
I went to a smoke shop nearby me

789
00:43:05,720 --> 00:43:08,400
and I asked y'all.
I was out of curiosity if

790
00:43:08,400 --> 00:43:11,400
they're carrying it because I'm
curious like is are people

791
00:43:11,400 --> 00:43:13,840
starting to take this off the
shelves now because of all the

792
00:43:13,840 --> 00:43:15,880
negative stuff that goes with
it?

793
00:43:16,200 --> 00:43:19,240
And a nearby smoke shop says, Oh
no, no, we don't carry that

794
00:43:19,240 --> 00:43:20,680
stuff.
It's no, it's not good.

795
00:43:20,960 --> 00:43:22,720
I was like, awesome.
That's.

796
00:43:23,160 --> 00:43:25,320
Amazing.
Because because you know, it's

797
00:43:25,320 --> 00:43:27,280
usually the other way around.
They want to make their money.

798
00:43:27,280 --> 00:43:30,600
And so but now this guy was
like, no, and she even says

799
00:43:30,600 --> 00:43:32,480
something like you can't even
really get them around here,

800
00:43:32,480 --> 00:43:34,480
like like they're all taking
them off the shelves.

801
00:43:34,880 --> 00:43:37,840
I'm like, whoa, but wait.
Tell us about what your thoughts

802
00:43:37,840 --> 00:43:41,200
on Seven O 8 and then your
little Recon to the smoke shop.

803
00:43:41,440 --> 00:43:45,840
Yeah, absolutely.
So I became aware of the seven O

804
00:43:45,840 --> 00:43:47,760
eights from you guys.
I didn't even know it was a

805
00:43:47,760 --> 00:43:51,040
thing.
And here we go again with taking

806
00:43:51,040 --> 00:43:54,640
a natural product, ramping it up
and making it something that

807
00:43:54,640 --> 00:43:57,600
it's not and now making it
dangerous basically, or making

808
00:43:57,600 --> 00:44:03,520
it highly addictive.
And I for for years going and

809
00:44:03,520 --> 00:44:06,240
getting kratom, I didn't either
I didn't pay attention to it or

810
00:44:06,240 --> 00:44:08,720
they had such a small selection
of it that I just didn't see it.

811
00:44:09,040 --> 00:44:11,600
But I definitely was never
pointed towards it.

812
00:44:11,720 --> 00:44:15,960
OK, a couple months ago I went
to my shop and all of a sudden

813
00:44:16,480 --> 00:44:23,880
half of the store is 7 O 8 and
the kratom supply is a fraction

814
00:44:23,880 --> 00:44:26,720
of what it was.
And I'm just gobsmacked.

815
00:44:27,120 --> 00:44:28,880
And I was like, holy cow, there
it is.

816
00:44:29,200 --> 00:44:30,440
That's what they were talking
about.

817
00:44:30,440 --> 00:44:33,800
And so I'm just looking and I've
made friends with the with the

818
00:44:33,800 --> 00:44:35,640
worker girl.
She's just the biggest

819
00:44:35,640 --> 00:44:40,560
sweetheart and cuz she'll tell
me what good brands they have

820
00:44:40,560 --> 00:44:43,640
and she's an excellent customer
service.

821
00:44:44,160 --> 00:44:45,480
And I was like, my gosh, you
guys have that.

822
00:44:45,480 --> 00:44:47,040
And she looked at me and she's
like, don't.

823
00:44:47,640 --> 00:44:50,600
And she was like, if you haven't
already done it, don't.

824
00:44:50,600 --> 00:44:56,840
And, but basically they were
stuck on it that they had tried

825
00:44:56,840 --> 00:44:58,240
it because it was new to the
shop.

826
00:44:58,760 --> 00:45:01,640
And she was a creative user, a
regular powder creative user the

827
00:45:01,640 --> 00:45:04,760
last time I talked to her.
And then now months later, she's

828
00:45:04,760 --> 00:45:07,880
on the 708.
And she said that she told that

829
00:45:07,880 --> 00:45:10,280
people come in for it
constantly, that it has taken

830
00:45:10,280 --> 00:45:15,320
over their, you know, their
sales basically that that's what

831
00:45:15,320 --> 00:45:19,120
people want.
But she said that it's, she said

832
00:45:19,120 --> 00:45:22,680
it's so hard to get off of.
She said that she, she has not

833
00:45:22,680 --> 00:45:25,520
been able to get off of it.
And she said that and she did,

834
00:45:25,520 --> 00:45:28,160
she told me no.
And she said, if you haven't

835
00:45:28,160 --> 00:45:31,040
tried it, she goes, we, we tell
you not to, you know, she's like

836
00:45:31,040 --> 00:45:33,880
stick with the kratom.
And I had a lot of respect for

837
00:45:33,880 --> 00:45:35,080
her.
She was like, basically like,

838
00:45:35,080 --> 00:45:36,880
no, I'm stuck on it.
Don't you dare touch it.

839
00:45:37,360 --> 00:45:40,600
And I was like, thank you.
And it was just mind blowing.

840
00:45:40,600 --> 00:45:44,000
And it kind of made me sick a
little bit like, oh, this is and

841
00:45:44,000 --> 00:45:46,720
I was in there for 10 minutes.
Three people came in and bought

842
00:45:47,680 --> 00:45:49,240
just that.
Just that.

843
00:45:49,240 --> 00:45:53,040
In 10 minutes. 10 minutes and
they were like you, they didn't

844
00:45:53,040 --> 00:45:55,600
look like druggies or anything.
They didn't look like users and

845
00:45:55,600 --> 00:45:57,120
you just but that's what they
bought.

846
00:45:57,120 --> 00:45:58,640
And I was just like, OK,
interesting.

847
00:45:58,640 --> 00:46:02,960
So this is this is a big deal.
Couple weeks ago, I went down to

848
00:46:02,960 --> 00:46:05,960
Tennessee to visit a girlfriend
and I went on another little

849
00:46:05,960 --> 00:46:11,560
Recon.
It's sad down there, hardly any

850
00:46:11,560 --> 00:46:13,720
powder kratom.
It is all 70 H.

851
00:46:13,840 --> 00:46:18,400
And every time I walked into a
shop and asked for the kratom,

852
00:46:18,720 --> 00:46:22,240
they pointed me to the 70 H and
I was like, I don't want that.

853
00:46:22,480 --> 00:46:24,520
And I was like powder.
And then they would point me to

854
00:46:24,520 --> 00:46:28,000
this little bitty corner of like
two different types.

855
00:46:28,000 --> 00:46:32,120
I mean, I was it, it was rough.
So I was like very disheartened

856
00:46:32,120 --> 00:46:34,320
because it's like, this is going
to be harder and harder to find

857
00:46:34,320 --> 00:46:36,160
this.
And now I see that this is

858
00:46:36,160 --> 00:46:39,040
absolutely taking over.
It's being abused.

859
00:46:39,200 --> 00:46:40,960
People are getting highly
addicted to it.

860
00:46:41,240 --> 00:46:44,240
And it's not just giving kratom
a bad name, it's pushing kratom

861
00:46:44,240 --> 00:46:46,680
out.
I mean, I had to, you know, I'm,

862
00:46:46,680 --> 00:46:48,200
I don't know what I'm going to
do.

863
00:46:48,200 --> 00:46:50,320
I'm going to have to get on some
of some vendors.

864
00:46:50,320 --> 00:46:52,360
You know, I'm going to have to
find some different places

865
00:46:52,360 --> 00:46:55,680
because my local are switching
over to seven.

866
00:46:55,680 --> 00:47:00,160
OH, and it's scary.
It's scary to see that because

867
00:47:00,160 --> 00:47:04,280
we're trying to get people off
of pharmaceuticals, you know

868
00:47:04,280 --> 00:47:05,640
what I mean?
And here we go.

869
00:47:05,680 --> 00:47:08,640
Let's just give you another.
Here's something that's

870
00:47:08,640 --> 00:47:11,360
basically a pharmaceutical.
It just happens to be available

871
00:47:11,360 --> 00:47:14,720
over the counter at the moment,
even though the FDA is like, no,

872
00:47:15,000 --> 00:47:18,040
this needs to, we got to have an
end to this, but the DEA has to

873
00:47:18,040 --> 00:47:19,720
do it.
So, you know, they recommend it.

874
00:47:19,960 --> 00:47:23,760
The DEA, you know, ban it and
put it on schedule one.

875
00:47:23,760 --> 00:47:26,720
DEA hasn't done anything yet.
And, you know, government moves

876
00:47:26,720 --> 00:47:28,960
slow with things like this.
I don't think it should be

877
00:47:28,960 --> 00:47:32,000
schedule one because schedule 1
means you can't research it.

878
00:47:32,000 --> 00:47:34,600
And it sounds like it has
potential, but it needs to go

879
00:47:34,600 --> 00:47:37,160
through the drug process.
And yes, that can take 10 years.

880
00:47:37,320 --> 00:47:38,680
It could take billions of
dollars.

881
00:47:38,680 --> 00:47:41,120
But do it.
Don't just put it on the market.

882
00:47:41,120 --> 00:47:43,280
Give it drug names.
I mean some of the names for

883
00:47:43,280 --> 00:47:45,920
these.
I saw, I saw it.

884
00:47:45,960 --> 00:47:48,720
It's very indicative.
Yes, Yeah.

885
00:47:49,000 --> 00:47:52,360
Yeah, yeah.
Yeah, the good old, good old

886
00:47:52,360 --> 00:47:55,880
days.
And and that's just it's a bad

887
00:47:55,880 --> 00:47:57,640
look.
I mean, it's a bad look and it

888
00:47:57,640 --> 00:48:00,640
gives kratom a bad name and and
I'm not knocking again if you

889
00:48:00,640 --> 00:48:04,080
need pain relief and seven O 8
is what works for you.

890
00:48:04,080 --> 00:48:06,840
You know, I'm not knocking that
whatsoever because I still feel

891
00:48:06,840 --> 00:48:08,800
that that's better than the
alternative.

892
00:48:08,800 --> 00:48:13,320
But at the same time, I've only
heard kind of the horror stories

893
00:48:13,320 --> 00:48:15,400
and the fact that it's so strong
and, and the fact that the

894
00:48:15,400 --> 00:48:17,880
withdrawals are so bad.
And, and again, I do, I'm a

895
00:48:17,880 --> 00:48:20,640
heavy researcher.
So before I, you know, took the

896
00:48:20,640 --> 00:48:22,560
kratom, I'd heard about it for
years and years.

897
00:48:22,560 --> 00:48:26,880
And the person I'd heard it from
respectable, you know, good guy.

898
00:48:26,880 --> 00:48:30,600
So and I have yet to see anyone
like that with the 708.

899
00:48:31,040 --> 00:48:34,040
Not to be rude or anything, but
I haven't seen anyone come out

900
00:48:34,040 --> 00:48:35,720
that I respect.
It's like, yes, you should take

901
00:48:35,720 --> 00:48:39,800
this.
So I'm interested to see what

902
00:48:39,800 --> 00:48:44,040
happens and and I really hope
that it doesn't create an entire

903
00:48:44,040 --> 00:48:47,520
band, you know that just.
Well, you know, here's what's so

904
00:48:47,520 --> 00:48:50,640
interesting.
So just a few years ago, right

905
00:48:50,640 --> 00:48:54,840
before 70 H was on the market.
The negative thing would be the

906
00:48:54,840 --> 00:48:59,200
extracts, which not as strong as
70 H, but stronger is taking the

907
00:48:59,200 --> 00:49:02,120
whole leaf and isolate the
mitragynine, the one alkaloid

908
00:49:02,440 --> 00:49:06,520
and and you know, making it
super strong and, and people got

909
00:49:06,520 --> 00:49:09,080
addicted to it.
And we would always hear

910
00:49:09,080 --> 00:49:12,000
negative things about kratom
because of that.

911
00:49:12,280 --> 00:49:16,160
But then when there's that
negativity, it many times

912
00:49:16,160 --> 00:49:18,600
communities when this is get
brought up to like a City

913
00:49:18,600 --> 00:49:21,680
Council or a state legislator,
they look at all kratom.

914
00:49:21,680 --> 00:49:23,720
They're like, OK, kratom is
kratom is kratom.

915
00:49:23,720 --> 00:49:27,000
It's all bad, whereas no, the
powder's fine.

916
00:49:27,000 --> 00:49:30,280
It's these extracts that some
people, not all, but some people

917
00:49:30,280 --> 00:49:32,280
abuse and it gives it a bad
name.

918
00:49:32,600 --> 00:49:35,960
And it's so interesting to watch
over these last two years that

919
00:49:36,640 --> 00:49:39,040
prior for years, it was always
the extracts that give it the

920
00:49:39,040 --> 00:49:41,520
bad name.
Now it's been the seven O and we

921
00:49:41,520 --> 00:49:45,080
just watched it get more and
more and more.

922
00:49:45,080 --> 00:49:48,440
And here we are recording this
in October 2025.

923
00:49:48,440 --> 00:49:51,200
And that's all you hear about is
7.

924
00:49:51,200 --> 00:49:57,680
OH and more bans for kratom have
cropped up this year than ever

925
00:49:58,400 --> 00:50:01,480
and most times it's because of
the whole 7 O wage thing.

926
00:50:01,480 --> 00:50:03,480
But you get these people in
communities that don't

927
00:50:03,480 --> 00:50:06,560
understand there is not all the
same and they just think it's

928
00:50:06,560 --> 00:50:08,840
all kratom and they want to just
ban all kratom.

929
00:50:08,840 --> 00:50:13,520
Which is scary for us
responsible wholly consumers

930
00:50:14,280 --> 00:50:16,160
because we're getting caught up
in the middle of all this.

931
00:50:16,160 --> 00:50:17,920
It's kind of like back to the
war on drugs.

932
00:50:18,480 --> 00:50:22,040
Responsible chronic pain patient
getting opioids.

933
00:50:22,720 --> 00:50:25,280
You know, I researched, I
understand what I was getting

934
00:50:25,280 --> 00:50:26,720
into.
I just didn't want to suffer in

935
00:50:26,720 --> 00:50:29,280
pain so much.
I never abused my meds.

936
00:50:29,480 --> 00:50:32,360
I never took too much.
I followed all the rules.

937
00:50:33,240 --> 00:50:37,280
But that war on drugs affected
so many of us in the pain

938
00:50:37,280 --> 00:50:40,200
community that didn't do
anything wrong.

939
00:50:40,200 --> 00:50:45,560
And then we all lost access and
I feel like is this coming back

940
00:50:45,560 --> 00:50:47,680
around We like in this like
cycle now.

941
00:50:47,680 --> 00:50:51,400
And now here I find this plant
use it is great, is life

942
00:50:51,400 --> 00:50:53,480
changing.
But wait a minute, here comes

943
00:50:53,480 --> 00:50:57,200
the bad element to come over and
poo poo on it for all of us is

944
00:50:57,200 --> 00:51:00,640
like, what the heck.
I I thought I'm set for life

945
00:51:00,640 --> 00:51:02,280
now.
I got this amazing plant.

946
00:51:02,520 --> 00:51:04,320
No, me too.
And yeah, I know I have to worry

947
00:51:04,320 --> 00:51:09,000
about not accessing my medicine
and I mean that's a big fear.

948
00:51:09,000 --> 00:51:11,040
And I mean, even with the we
talked about the tariffs and

949
00:51:11,040 --> 00:51:14,320
stuff like that and just
regulations and controls, it's

950
00:51:14,320 --> 00:51:19,720
out of our hands that affect us.
And it's like, I'm gonna go get

951
00:51:19,720 --> 00:51:23,200
a kratom tree at this point.
It's like I gotta at least try

952
00:51:23,200 --> 00:51:25,320
to be self-sufficient.
Give it a try.

953
00:51:25,400 --> 00:51:27,360
Yeah, give it.
A try and the other thing real

954
00:51:27,360 --> 00:51:31,320
quick is the problem we have is
these content creators that are

955
00:51:31,320 --> 00:51:33,680
just using kratom for content
they're like oh what's this new

956
00:51:33,680 --> 00:51:35,720
thing?
Let's try this 708 and then all

957
00:51:35,720 --> 00:51:38,280
of a sudden or the feel free.
Feel free.

958
00:51:38,320 --> 00:51:42,240
Oh my gosh, that yes, 100%
somebody goes viral with the

959
00:51:42,240 --> 00:51:44,000
feel.
Look, the feel free one with the

960
00:51:44,000 --> 00:51:46,320
guy that went viral a few months
back when he got millions and

961
00:51:46,320 --> 00:51:48,640
millions of views telling the
story of walking to the

962
00:51:48,640 --> 00:51:50,560
convenience store and the kid
that stops him.

963
00:51:50,880 --> 00:51:53,520
Well, you buy these, feel free.
He tried to steal my wallet,

964
00:51:53,520 --> 00:51:54,600
blah, blah.
I don't even know if that's a

965
00:51:54,600 --> 00:51:57,120
true story.
Honestly, the way he told it, it

966
00:51:57,400 --> 00:52:01,760
didn't sound very truthful.
And they started that whole

967
00:52:01,960 --> 00:52:05,520
propaganda machine and then all
these like Youtubers and Tik

968
00:52:05,520 --> 00:52:08,160
Tokers, like I'm going to jump
on this and let me make a bit.

969
00:52:08,720 --> 00:52:11,080
This happened like at least a
year ago, maybe a year and a

970
00:52:11,080 --> 00:52:16,240
half ago, this girl made a video
about Feel Free and it went

971
00:52:16,240 --> 00:52:18,280
viral.
It went crazy.

972
00:52:18,280 --> 00:52:21,040
We showed it on the kratom gals
and then people jumped on it and

973
00:52:21,040 --> 00:52:23,120
then it kind of died down.
But then you know.

974
00:52:23,440 --> 00:52:25,240
You're so right.
This is what?

975
00:52:25,320 --> 00:52:29,080
Happened is people looking for
views and clicks and they're,

976
00:52:29,320 --> 00:52:32,720
they do they understand they're
messing with people's lives when

977
00:52:32,720 --> 00:52:35,040
they're doing this.
They're giving this a bad name

978
00:52:35,400 --> 00:52:39,080
nationally to to the media and
to the public.

979
00:52:39,200 --> 00:52:41,760
And then we're like, I just want
pain relief.

980
00:52:41,760 --> 00:52:44,320
Stop messing with my leaf.
So that's where I'm in the

981
00:52:44,320 --> 00:52:47,760
comments, you know, advocating
and, and, and throwing elbows to

982
00:52:47,880 --> 00:52:50,800
to advocate for us.
It's like, hey, we need this.

983
00:52:50,800 --> 00:52:52,800
Like we are not abusers.
We are not druggies.

984
00:52:52,800 --> 00:52:56,280
We are not junkies.
We are chronic pain patients who

985
00:52:56,280 --> 00:52:59,240
have been neglected or kicked
at.

986
00:52:59,240 --> 00:53:01,360
You know, I mean, there's,
there's reasons and like I had

987
00:53:01,360 --> 00:53:05,560
commented once that I have an
extreme chemical sensitivity and

988
00:53:05,560 --> 00:53:08,680
I can't take because they were
like someone in the comments

989
00:53:09,520 --> 00:53:12,720
against the girl you guys just
want to hire or you just want.

990
00:53:12,720 --> 00:53:14,560
And I was like, it's not even
about that at all.

991
00:53:14,560 --> 00:53:17,800
I said, I'm, I have a chemical
sensitivity and I I can't take

992
00:53:18,120 --> 00:53:20,320
medication.
And he said, oh, well, kratom's

993
00:53:20,320 --> 00:53:21,520
a chemical.
It's that.

994
00:53:21,520 --> 00:53:23,440
And I was like, correct,
correct.

995
00:53:23,640 --> 00:53:26,440
But there's a difference between
natural and synthetic.

996
00:53:26,440 --> 00:53:29,120
If we, if we want to go down,
I'll start to, you know what I

997
00:53:29,120 --> 00:53:30,760
mean?
Like I'll go with you.

998
00:53:30,760 --> 00:53:34,080
I know the difference, but
unfortunately, no, these people

999
00:53:34,080 --> 00:53:36,640
are screwing with our lives
because it is just content to

1000
00:53:36,640 --> 00:53:38,800
them.
It is views they're making money

1001
00:53:38,800 --> 00:53:42,360
off of it and it is it's
becoming detrimental to us that

1002
00:53:42,360 --> 00:53:44,560
depend on it.
And that's why like I'm gonna be

1003
00:53:44,560 --> 00:53:48,520
like, OK, I'm gonna do a giant,
you know, EDS why we should take

1004
00:53:48,520 --> 00:53:51,560
kratom and just kind of get out
there, you know, so that at

1005
00:53:51,560 --> 00:53:54,680
least my video can be out there
too, that it can help counter

1006
00:53:55,000 --> 00:53:57,200
that if you can look it up, it
can at least help counter.

1007
00:53:57,200 --> 00:53:59,120
And people are like, Oh my gosh,
this girl look, she's not.

1008
00:53:59,800 --> 00:54:01,720
If they can look me up you can
find out you know all my

1009
00:54:01,720 --> 00:54:05,320
background, my history history
and and like OK she's legit and

1010
00:54:05,320 --> 00:54:09,560
hopefully then I can help dispel
some of the BS propaganda.

1011
00:54:09,880 --> 00:54:11,920
So.
Area we need more people like

1012
00:54:12,000 --> 00:54:13,400
everybody watching this right
now.

1013
00:54:14,040 --> 00:54:15,560
Be like that.
Be like area.

1014
00:54:15,920 --> 00:54:18,680
Get your voices out there.
Make a video, talk about your

1015
00:54:18,680 --> 00:54:21,800
experience, start a podcast.
You don't have to just do

1016
00:54:21,800 --> 00:54:23,400
something.
Start something.

1017
00:54:23,400 --> 00:54:27,920
At minimum, make a video or call
your your legislators and tell

1018
00:54:27,920 --> 00:54:29,880
them there's a plant called
kratom.

1019
00:54:30,000 --> 00:54:32,640
Whole leaf Kratom powder is
changed my life, please to keep

1020
00:54:32,640 --> 00:54:35,760
it safe and legal, like do
something because if we're just

1021
00:54:35,760 --> 00:54:38,440
complicit, we do nothing.
It could get taken away.

1022
00:54:38,440 --> 00:54:41,320
And the way things have been
going in the world, we could

1023
00:54:41,320 --> 00:54:44,040
wake up one day and they're
like, we're banning it for

1024
00:54:44,040 --> 00:54:47,160
everybody.
Just like that and it and it's

1025
00:54:47,160 --> 00:54:51,640
usually a financial reason, you
know, somebody's getting their

1026
00:54:51,640 --> 00:54:55,080
pockets padded, you know, again,
big pharma, whatever it is, and

1027
00:54:55,080 --> 00:54:57,480
we suffer.
So yeah, we have to stand up for

1028
00:54:57,480 --> 00:55:00,440
ourselves and you can get
better.

1029
00:55:00,440 --> 00:55:05,520
You know, if if we have, you
know, your gut, your gut tells

1030
00:55:05,520 --> 00:55:08,520
you, you know, if you, if you
have a Doctor Who's not

1031
00:55:08,520 --> 00:55:11,560
listening to you, who you know,
you've been with maybe for years

1032
00:55:11,560 --> 00:55:13,440
or just going round and round
and you're not getting any

1033
00:55:13,440 --> 00:55:16,440
better, get a new Doctor.
You know, try just get a

1034
00:55:16,440 --> 00:55:19,520
different opinion maybe.
And also don't be afraid to

1035
00:55:19,520 --> 00:55:21,840
advocate for yourself.
You know, I have a friend who

1036
00:55:21,840 --> 00:55:25,280
she's had neck issues for and
she also takes kratom, but she's

1037
00:55:25,280 --> 00:55:27,440
had neck issues for years and I
was like, well, what's wrong

1038
00:55:27,440 --> 00:55:28,640
with it?
And she's like, I don't know,

1039
00:55:28,640 --> 00:55:32,320
like, what do you mean you don't
know you should save my, my C4

1040
00:55:32,320 --> 00:55:34,440
and my C5 or, you know, whatever
it is.

1041
00:55:34,440 --> 00:55:37,160
And I, I explained to her, I
said, the fact that you don't

1042
00:55:37,160 --> 00:55:39,080
know what's wrong with you is
why your doctors have never

1043
00:55:39,080 --> 00:55:41,800
taken you seriously and why
you're just being passed and

1044
00:55:41,800 --> 00:55:44,440
passed and passed.
And so now she wants me to help

1045
00:55:44,560 --> 00:55:47,040
go through her medical records
and help her understand what's

1046
00:55:47,040 --> 00:55:50,000
wrong with her so that she can
advocate for herself because

1047
00:55:50,000 --> 00:55:52,160
these doctors are just tossed
some different drugs.

1048
00:55:52,160 --> 00:55:54,120
You know what I mean?
It's just a marketing scheme.

1049
00:55:54,440 --> 00:55:59,960
So I willingly will advocate for
people, and I'm happy to be here

1050
00:55:59,960 --> 00:56:04,080
and fight this fight with you,
Madeline, and everybody and to

1051
00:56:04,080 --> 00:56:07,880
help people get out of pain, you
know, I mean, it's a love.

1052
00:56:07,880 --> 00:56:09,640
Live life.
Live life, you know, I mean,

1053
00:56:09,640 --> 00:56:10,160
there you go.
Yeah.

1054
00:56:10,880 --> 00:56:12,520
That's awesome.
That's so great.

1055
00:56:12,520 --> 00:56:13,880
I'm so glad I had you on the
podcast.

1056
00:56:13,880 --> 00:56:15,640
This is a great conversation of
Raya.

1057
00:56:15,960 --> 00:56:18,640
My last question, knowing
everything you know now about

1058
00:56:18,640 --> 00:56:22,440
kratom, what advice?
And I know that you are helping

1059
00:56:22,440 --> 00:56:24,720
people, like what advice are you
giving Somebody brand new

1060
00:56:24,720 --> 00:56:26,160
doesn't know anything about
this.

1061
00:56:26,160 --> 00:56:29,960
What do you tell them?
I would introduce them to it.

1062
00:56:29,960 --> 00:56:33,320
First.
I would explain it to him where

1063
00:56:33,320 --> 00:56:38,160
it comes from and my use of it.
And then I would explain to them

1064
00:56:38,160 --> 00:56:39,960
how I feel like it could help
them.

1065
00:56:40,720 --> 00:56:43,920
And then I would, I would share
it with them.

1066
00:56:44,120 --> 00:56:46,600
I would start, you know, give
them a dose and see what they

1067
00:56:46,600 --> 00:56:51,920
thought.
And because I've done that, I've

1068
00:56:51,920 --> 00:56:54,240
done that for quite a few people
so far And, and it's, it's

1069
00:56:54,240 --> 00:56:55,720
turned out good.
I did have one friend who he

1070
00:56:55,720 --> 00:56:59,160
just wasn't interested in it.
You know, he, he wasn't into it

1071
00:56:59,160 --> 00:57:02,720
and that's fine.
But be open, you know, again,

1072
00:57:02,720 --> 00:57:05,320
if, if your, if your gut, if
your intuition is telling you

1073
00:57:05,320 --> 00:57:07,200
that there's got to be more to
life or, you know, if there's

1074
00:57:07,200 --> 00:57:10,920
something else out there, trust
that and don't be afraid to ask

1075
00:57:10,920 --> 00:57:16,720
for help.
So, yeah, and, and just if don't

1076
00:57:16,720 --> 00:57:20,080
be afraid to try it, you know, I
mean, if you're living in pain

1077
00:57:20,080 --> 00:57:23,560
or if you're living with anxiety
or depression, and I mean, why

1078
00:57:23,560 --> 00:57:24,920
not?
Why not give it a shot?

1079

Natural Health Advocate and Plant Nerd

Hi! I'm a Midwestern mom and animal lover. I have a rare connection tissue disordor called ehlers danlos syndrome that creates chronic joint and body pain. My joints can easily and painfully dislocate just by moving wrong. I was diagnosed late in life and I have had to manage my condition my entire life. It is degenerative and it makes me highly sensitive to chemicals and pharmaceuticals leaving me to live in significant chronic pain. It impacts every area of my life. I changed my entire lifestyle from the standard American diet to an all natural, holistic approach and found quite a bit of success. However I was still living with the underlying pain. Until I found kratom. Kratom has allowed me to regain a quality of life that I didn't think I'd ever have again. It is truly a wonderful gift from nature.
