Welcome to the first episode of "Kratom Stories" with me, your host, Madalyn Sklar. If you've ever battled chronic pain, you know how tough of a fight it is. For more than a decade, I've been in the trenches of degenerative disc disease, relying heavily on prescription opioids that came with their fair share of issues. From the societal stigmas to the constant worries about changing healthcare policies, it was tough.
In 2019, I was abruptly abandoned by my pain management doctor and that's when I discovered something life-changing: Kratom. Following exhaustive research and collective wisdom from online support groups, I decided to give this botanical a try.
Right away I noticed amazing pain relief. It's like I've been handed my zest for life back, not just putting a band-aid on the pain. Plus, the shift from prescription opioids to Kratom was seamless for me, with no side effects or withdrawal shocks. Looking back, it underscores the power of exploring your options and taking an active role in your healthcare journey.
