Ep 85: Amanda Rainer: Finding Freedom After Thirty Years on Pain Meds
Amanda Rainer shares how Kratom helped her rebuild her life after decades of chronic pain and prescriptions. She explains vendor safety, 7OH, and why advocacy and responsible use matter.
Amanda Rainer shares her powerful story of living with extreme chronic pain since childhood and spending thirty years on prescription pain medication. She opens up about migraines, fibromyalgia, trigeminal neuralgia, severe back degeneration, Crohn’s disease, and long-term anxiety that kept her bed bound and wiped out her quality of life. After watching her mother die from a cocktail of prescribed medications, Amanda became determined to find a safer alternative. She discovered Kratom over eight years ago and says it gave her life back. For the first time, she could get out of bed, attend her son’s graduation, take care of daily chores, and live with manageable pain instead of despair.
Amanda also talks in detail about transparency, compliance, proper lab testing, and why she holds vendors to a high standard after becoming sick from a tainted product. She explains how she evaluates vendors, why GMP practices matter, and how the community has played a huge role in supporting one another. She also dives into her experience with 7OH, how it helps her during severe Crohn’s flares when powder isn’t an option, and why she believes accountability and responsible use are essential. Amanda shares strong words on advocacy, misinformation in the media, the political pressure against Kratom, and how everyday consumers are the ones who must speak up.

I was placed on pain medication at the early age of 9yrs old after years of trying to control my migraines. By the age of 15, I was prescribed 60 vicodin a month for my migraines.. Years later, 2003/2004 I was in a car accident which caused frozen shoulder blades which then led to degenerative & cervical disc disease, herniated & bulging disc's bone spurs on the spine and now scoliosis as an adult. That started my long list of chronic pain issues living with 10 out of 20 of the most painful conditions to live with , trigeminal being one (aks suicide disease) I was told it's pain management for life. I also deal with crohn's disease which makes plant matter hard to take at times, so i do utilize extracts, Including 7oh on bad days, but i do prefer kratom .Fast forward 30yrs on pain meds, 10 yrs on anxiety, depression & blood pressure meds. 2013 I had lost my Mom to the hands of big pharma and their meds while she was being treated in a pain clinic for back issues less than mine. Her death was ruled acute intoxication of morphine and Tramadol. She didn't abuse them, she took less, but the build of of 8 months of meds took her life. That was the beginning to my search for holistic ways to treat myself as it was a fight to get any pain meds, nor did they really help much. May 5th 2016 I took my first dose of kratom. It was the most relief I had felt since prior to my accident. My life has been given back to me thanks to kratom. Ive been able to enjoy simple things like watching my son graduate both his high-school & college graduation.… Read More
