In this episode, Madalyn Sklar clears up some of the ongoing questions and accusations surrounding her Kratom advocacy, including claims about financial interests, industry relationships, and why she continues to spend so much of her time educating and advocating for the Kratom community.

The Gals also react to a video from Dan at MitraSpec about whether vendors and others with a financial stake in the Kratom industry can still be legitimate advocates. That leads to a larger conversation about what advocacy actually costs, who funds the work being done to protect Kratom access, and why having a financial connection to an industry doesn’t automatically invalidate someone’s advocacy.

Madalyn also shares more transparency about how she works within the Kratom industry, including affiliate relationships, support she receives for some of her education and advocacy efforts, and the distinction between being compensated for legitimate professional work and being paid to promote someone else’s message. She also explains why her commitment to Kratom education and advocacy began long before any financial relationships entered the picture.
